"Jungkookie, we know damn well you know the code, just open the fucking door," Jimin exclaimed.
All 6 of them were currently standing outside of the Genius Lab, waiting for Jungkook to get the balls to finally open the door.
Because fuck, no one said it out loud but Yoongi's past with depression gave all of them chills.
What would they do if it came back? They weren't sure if they could prevent...
Even thinking about it hurt.
"Jungkook-ah, just open it alright? Standing around will not change whatever is behind this door," Namjoon tried reasoning with their maknae.
And it worked because everything Namjoon said worked. After taking a deep breath to ground himself, Jungkook typed in the code.
The satisfying sound appeared but no one moved to push the door open. They were all petrified in fear. No one said it—but they didn't need to.
Every single member knew damn well how much music meant to Yoongi. They were so fucking scared.
Namjoon was the one who finally pushed it open and went inside first.
The others wanted to follow but bumped into each other when Namjoon suddenly stopped dead in his tracks.
"Fuck," was all they needed to hear for their hearts to sink to their stomachs.

It felt like he was coming back to the surface after being underwater for too long. His eyes had a hard time getting used to the light as he blinked.
Fuck. Of course it didn't work.
And just like that, Yoongi found himself slowly waking up in another hospital room.
Great. Now I'll never have any freedom. They'll never let me out of their eyes.
His own anger tasted bitter on his tongue. Deep down, he knew that his members were only worried about him and just... didn't want him to die. Honestly valid feelings, but still. In Yoongi's eyes, he was dead the moment music got taken from him.
He looked around and realised his 6 members were in fact right next to him, surrounding his bed with chairs. And they looked angry. Very fucking angry with him.
Their mouths were moving but it took Yoongi to say "I can't hear you, you idiots." for them to finally get out the notebook.
They were all writing furiously into it at the same time—but Namjoon took the notebook from them. He ripped the page out and Yoongi almost laughed at their offended faces. Then, he wrote for a long time and finally gave the notebook to Yoongi.
Yoongi-hyung. You know how much I respect you, right? You went through a lot. I've known you for like 16 years now. We met when we were both trainees. Getting told that we'd be in a band called "BTS" together.
We used to talk a lot. And even cry a lot. You remember that one conversation in the practice room where we both cried our eyes out before an award show? I still think about it a lot.
I still think about you a lot. Because you, Min Yoongi, are an amazing person. I know that you know that, but I felt like I just had to remind you again.
Music has always meant a lot to you. And I can't expect you to just be okay right now.
And you know what? That's okay. It's completely fine. It's okay to not be okay sometimes. What's important is that we're still a family and we're going to survive this. Together.
I really love you, Yoongi-hyung, and the others do too. And I know it will be an exhausting and long road. But who are we to let this stop us?
I'm sure we'll find a way to give you your music back. But until then, just let us help you, alright? We'll be okay.
I promise.
And of course Yoongi was full-on sobbing by the time he finished reading Namjoon's words.
He didn't even protest as his family forced him into a group hug, all of them just crying.
Yoongi hated how good Namjoon was with his words, because even he couldn't help but think...
Everything will be alright.
Despite how bad his past experience with a certain promise had been.
