The Saturday date was the last reprieve Izuku got because he was soon going on raid after raid and mission after mission. The missions weren’t that bad at the start, just tail this guy or capture a new vigilante that popped up. But soon the missions became more dangerous as he was tasked with following more dangerous people. The raids were not much better, but Aizawa and sometimes Hitoshi were there. Though quite often it was just Izuku and Whipplash working with a bunch of limelight heroes.
Izuku’s long stent of missions and raids made him more notorious in the underground. If a criminal even heard the word ‘Shadow’ they would freak out and bolt. The same could be said for vigilantes. With the newfound underground fame came notoriety in the Limelight hero world. The heroes knew that a raid would be successful if Shadow was participating. But all good (or bad) things must come to an end. It was after Izuku had gotten back from a raid on a Shie Hisaikai drug factory that he saw both Aizawa and Hizashi waiting for him in the 1-A dorm common room.
“Welcome back, how was the raid?” Aizawa asked
“Well, we found where the drugs are being made but we didn’t find the source,” Izuku said sitting in front of the two,
“That’s good, little off-topic how many raids have you been on?” Hizashi cuts in
“Uh, Yashimata, Kimimoto, Duragan…” Izuku trailed off counting on his fingers,”9 or 10 I think,” he finally answers
While Aizawa had expected an answer around that, Hizahi was not. The man’s eyes blew wide open, and it looked like he was about to jump Izuku.
“How about missions?” Aizawa continued
Izuku blew out an exasperated breath and gained a look of concentration. It was a minute of silence before he answered, “I’ve caught 16 vigilantes from here to Hosu, and tailed around 15 suspected dealers,”
“What?! How you’ve only been working for a month, that’s almost impossible!” Hizashi exclaimed
“That’s not even close to impossible, I’ve pulled similar numbers before, though I wasn’t in school when doing it,” Aizawa corrected
“Well, I most of the time I caught two or three vigilantes the same night, and most were just shitty copy-cat Stains,” Izuku said hoping it was an explanation
“So you caught two to three vigilantes that carried around knives and swords a night!?” Hizashi said ready to tie Izuku to a bed.
“So, I guess you want me to slow down on the underground work?” Izuku said trying to deflect
“You, slow down, that must be a joke, I know for a fact you won’t say no to a mission King gives you, I want to know why you are working so much,” Aizawa says pointedly
“I’m guessing ‘because I want to be a good hero’ doesn’t work,” Izuku said with a sheepish smile
“Yeah,” Aizawa said curtly
“Uh, well I overheard Bakugou wants to talk to me and I want to avoid that, and more importantly Togata-senpai has been off since the meeting at the Nighteye agency, I think he’s worried about the little girl. And well the more raids and information gathering we do on the locations suspected, the closer we get to finding her,” Izuku explains
“So you’re worried about Togata,” Hizashi says confused
“I don’t mean any disrespect but Togata-senpai has been the only person to give me a challenge, and I want to make sure he is okay,” Izuku answers
“For right now we can’t intervene in with the work-study since it’s not affecting your grades or you getting proper rest and nutrition, but we will talk about it after the final raid on the yakuza,” Aizawa says standing up
“Actually, I want to suspend my work-study after the raid as well,” izuku said quickly. The outburst made both men stop in their tracks
“What?” they said in confused unison
“Two nights ago I had a slip-up, and I got cut,” Izuku explained. And with that, both men rushed Izuku looking for the cut. It was on his left arm, only small enough for one stitch but big enough to leave a scar.
“What happened, this has never happened before,” Hizashi says with way too much worry in his voice,
“I overworked myself one of the nights I took down three copy-cat Stains and the last one of the night managed to cut me, Though I did slam a solid shadow into him after the fact,” Izuku said rubbing the back of his neck,
“Does Hitoshi and Todoroki know?” Hizashi asked
“They were the first to know, Hitoshi only laughed at me and Shouto did poke it a few times, but that night we discussed my continuing the work-study,” Izuku informed.
“Good, because even if this slip-up was caused by exhaustion it is very serious that someone who rarely gets hurt actually does,” Aizawa says
“Yeah, the officer who responded to my call about the vigilante was concerned about it as well,” Izuku said
“Okay, since this matter has been settled go to bed, you have a math test today anyway,” Aizawa said with a stern voice
“Yes, Sir” Izuku responded,

After a few more weeks of missions and info gathering, it was time for the raid on the Shie Hisaikai’s main compound. The location was a large estate, it was 12 square kilometers the building above ground only took up a fraction of that space. The real compound was underground, which is where the rescue team is currently searching for Eri.

“Are you sure that this is the right way Nighteye?” Rock Lock asks
“Yes, Overhaul must have prepared for our raid, but It seems he set up obstacles,” the hero said
“I’ll go ahead and check if the hallway continues after this blockade,” Mirio said taking off his headgear
“Be careful Lemillion,” Nighteye said as the boy permeated through the wall,
A moment later the teen’s head came through the wall, “The hallway does continue on, but there are more blockades like this one, I will continue on ahead, it would take too much time to break through each barrier” Mirio says
“Don’t do anything stupid Mirio,” is all Nighteye says before Mirio disappears through the wall again,
“Now, we need to get through these walls,” Rock Lock says
“Red Riot, you good to go,” Izuku says calling forth a monster more than 3 meters tall with arms the size of a grown-man,
“Anytime, Kagebro, let’s do this” Kirishima says as both he and the hulking shadow monster start crushing wall after wall.
As the two wall destroyers make it through the last wall, beads of sweat form on Izuku’s brow and Kirishima is a little out of breath.
“That’s the last one, for now, let’s keep moving,” Izuku says
“I thought you were all underhanded tricks, but you have some firepower kid,” Rock Lock said
“To borrow the words of a great hero ‘You can’t be a pro with only one trick up your sleeve’” Izuku replies.
As Aizawa is listening to their conversation he can’t help but be proud that Izuku has taken his words to heart.
Just then a portion of the wall shoots out at Aizawa, the hero isn’t the one who is pushed into the wall but FatGum and Kirishima were, both trying to save the older man.
“There is no point in worrying about those two, they will be fine, we’re moving on” Nighteye commands, the heroes and police follow him forward. The group moves forward but they soon encounter three of the Eighth Bullets. Suneater stays behind to deal with the three villains.
The next obstacle the group encounters is a large hole opening below them, the hole forces the group into a large cavern where they are separated, Izuku quickly breaks through the walls getting the group together again. Izuku decides to enter Shadow Monarch and look in on Lemillion through the shadows
“I have an update on Lemillion, he is currently fighting off both Overhaul and Shigiraki, to protect Eri, so in the interest of getting there faster grab the closest person to you and close your eyes,” Izuku says. Aizawa trusting Izuku grabs both Rock Lock and a police officer, Nighteye follows suit not knowing what is going to happen, the police officers there grab onto one another and close their eyes as instructed.

Mirio is on his last legs, it is taking everything he has to keep Eri safe while fighting off Chisaki but the other villain that is here is taking a toll on him. He has patches of skin that have disintegrated as well as a few holes in him from Overhaul manipulating the ground into spikes. Mirio is about to fall to his knees when a large group of people comes through his shadow, defying his perception of the universe’s laws.
“Lemillion, what did I say about not doing anything stupid,” a voice the teen recognizes as Nighteye’s says to him,
“Yeah, I don’t know if you got the memo but that’s my schtick,” Izuku comments
“Sir, is that really you?” the teen asks desperately
“Who else would it be?” the hero replies
“Lemillion, I’m going to get you and Eri topside, make sure you have a good hold on her,” Izuku instructs
Trusting his friend(?) Mirio wraps Eri in a hug, and waits, a second later the sun is in his eyes and Kagetsuki shouts to the paramedics that are a short distance away,
“Mirio, you did good fighting those two off, now it’s time for you and Eri to get some rest. Me, Eraserhead, and Sir Nighteye will take care of the rest, okay” Izuku says giving the older teen a small smile,
“I don’t remember the given name thing but other than that, kick some butt,” Mirio replies, and the next moment Izuku is gone,
“Hey, Eri-chan it’s okay, Izuku and the others are gonna make sure Chisaki never hurts you again,” the teen says smiling brightly at the small girl. As the paramedics arrive Mirio starts whispering comforting affirmations to Eri.

Izuku returns back to the underground compound to find Chisaki being cuffed and Shigiraki a few meters away from a purple portal about to go through it. At the sight, Izuku became enraged and shifted into Shadow Monarch, he then commands a shadow to grab Shigiraki’s leg and throw him to the other side of the room,
“You’re not getting away,” Izuku’s rage combined with the distorted voice of the Monarch form make the words sound like pure venom.
“I still have to pay you back for what happened at the USJ, so get ready,” Izuku says charging the villain still recovering from being thrown into a wall,
“The Cheater! Kurogiri, hurry it up!” Shigiraki shouts desperately
“Where we are going no one will disturb us,” Izuku says grabbing Shigiraki’s arm and disappearing,

To Shouta, his kid and Shigiraki are only gone for a second but it’s obvious that more time than that has passed. Izuku is, unharmed, escorted by a shadow with Shigiraki’s unconscious form over its shoulder.
“Shadow, What did you do to him!?” Shouta shouts
“No need to yell he’s not dead, unfortunately, just unconscious,” Izuku says dejectedly
“I’ll take your word for it, now can you get us topside?” Nighteye asks
“Yeah, just huddle and grab somebody,” Izuku says handing Shigiraki over to a police officer to be put in quirk suppressant cuffs.

The paperwork for the raid was tremendous, to say the least. And, with the raid came a surprise for the Yamazawa’s. But other than that it was just a hassle to deal with the paperwork. Aizawa and Izuku got back to UA just shy of midnight. Aizawa had elected to walk Izuku to the 1-A dorm before returning to his own. When the two walk into the building they aren’t expecting their respective lovers to be waiting for them in the common room,
“Hey, what are you guys doing up?” Izuku asks
“Waiting for you, idiot,” Hitoshi says
“And why are you in the 1-A Dorm?” Aizawa asks Hizashi
“I figured you would make sure Izu got to his dorm first,” Hizashi says
“That’s nice, but you didn’t have to wait for us,” Izuku says
“We heard a little about the raid from Kirishima and the others, we just wanted to make sure you were okay,” Shouto explains
“That makes sense,” Izuku says before looking to Aizawa, “Tell them now or wait until the morning?” Izuku asks
“Better to rip the band-aid off than to wait,” Aizawa says
“What band-aid? Did something happen? Are you two okay?” Hizashi asks in a panic
“A good place to start is that as a side-effect to the raid the League of Villains is gone,” Izuku starts.
“The other piece of news is that the Yamazawa’s grow bigger by one,” Aizawa says before instantly regretting it because Hizashi immediately turns into a crackhead that really wants to play 21 Questions, the excited man only gets so far into his game before Aizawa calls it quits for the night and starts walking back to the teacher’s dorm with Hizashi in chatterbox mode.
“I’m not gonna be as excited as papa, but can I get something more than just the basics?” Hitoshi asks
“Yeah, Her name is Eri, she is the girl we rescued during the raid, and as it stands she will most likely fall into Dad’s hands since his quirk will be the best to keep hers from going out of control” Izuku answers
“A little sister huh, that might be nice,”
