Chapter Text
SCENE 1
Iris sees the family car they had bought pull up to the nail salon, so she opens the door and gets in greeting her husband with a kiss.
"Hi love" Barry just looks at Iris's nails, she always has decent length nails, but this time she got them longer and a little more extravagant.
"Love don't be mad but what did you do to your nails" Iris turns to look at the back of the car and sees her 2 kids, 7 and 1 year old sound asleep, Barry must have taken them to the playgrounds and they were exhausted.
"Don't you like them?"
"I don't know sometimes between the kids and you, we have a few unnecessary expenses, I grew up with just the necessities."
"Well this is not an unnecessary expense, I was thinking of nailing them on your back tonight or I could upload them to Facebook, you decide husband."
"But Iris you don't have Facebook"
"Then I guess you have your answer" Iris said winking at Barry, after all, he considered that nails were probably not an unnecessary expense, he put the car in gear and headed home.
SCENE 2
Iris was out of town for a few days, she was with Linda helping her to investigate a case, obviously her family missed her too much, besides the house was a mess because nothing worked without Iris, Barry was looking forward to sleeping with her in his arms again and suddenly if the time, the kids and Iris's tiredness allowed it they would do something else but sleep, but Barry didn't count on the fact that Iris had promised her children before leaving that when she returned from her trip she would sleep with them in Noah's bed, as an excuse for them to stop hugging her and let her go, the moment Iris walked through the door with a box of pizza and another of donuts she was pulled back by her 2 children, as they told her they missed her.
"Kids, watch out for mom, she might have gotten hit".
"Sorry daddy" Barry helped his wife off the floor and hugged her and then gave her a kiss that his kids probably shouldn't have seen, but Noah was too engrossed in opening the pizza box and Dawn already had a face full of donut glaze.
"I missed you."
"I missed you too baby."
"How about we have lunch with the kids and then I can give you a back rub."
"That would be great, thank you I'm so exhausted" Barry smiles at his wife.
The beautiful family goes to the table and enjoy their dinner, after a while Iris gives the order to put on their pajamas and tells her children that she is going to say good night to them, the children look at each other surprised because she is supposed to sleep with them, however, they listen to her and go to put on their sleeping clothes.
Iris and her husband are in the bedroom, Barry comes up behind her and squeezes into her as he kisses her neck, ear and shoulder, Iris lets out a little moan, She missed this.
"I was already forgetting how good a kisser you are."
"No Mrs. West-Allen you can't forget that, do you mind if I remind you?"
" Yeah, I think that would be nice Mr. Allen, you know to refresh my memory and all" Barry smiles into his wife's neck before kissing her sweet spot and lowering his hand. But out of nowhere the door bursts open and Barry has to pull away as if Iris has burned him, she just giggles a little at the situation.
"Mom, Dad, what were you doing? Asks a confused Noah, while Dawn chews on a toy and has her other hand in her brother's, he is very protective of his sister, he loves her very much and takes her wherever he goes.
"Nothing my beautiful boy what did you need" Iris asks crouching down to her son's level.
"Come on" Noah pulls his mother
"Where to?"
"To sleep, you promised us you were going to sleep with us when you got here" At that moment Iris remembered the promise and looked at Barry with an apologetic face.
"Kids, don't you think your mommy is tired and needs to sleep with more space today? Barry couldn't formulate another excuse for his kids to let his wife sleep with him.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" Both children shouted and ran to their mother, dawn hugged her legs as it was all she could reach, Noah grabbed her waist as his hands reached there and Barry grabbed her shoulders trying to pull Noah away from his mother with one hand.
"Hey, you guys are old enough to sleep on your own."
"But mom promised she'd sleep with us today? Noah shouted
"Mommy pwomiss...." Said a watery-eyed dawn from Iris' legs.
Iris was tired of this situation, she should not sleep with any of them for throwing that tantrum, she should go to one of the empties rooms and sleep there.
Well, that didn't happen they all ended up sleeping in the double bed.
SCENE 3
The sun's rays were hitting Iris' face, so she slowly opened her eyes and when she did a beautiful sight greeted her.
"Good morning my life, looks like someone woke up cheerful, don't you Dawn? Said Barry as he looked at the baby he held in his arms tenderly.
"Baby what's wrong?" asked Iris rubbing her eyes. Barry sits on the bed with his daughter in his arms.
"She woke up early may be the chocolate Noah gave her made her imperative" Iris giggled a little "We shouldn't have let him give her that."
Iris motioned for her husband to pass the baby over to her, she played with her daughter for a while so she would get tired and get some sleep.
"See she's already asleep" Iris told Barry. Barry takes his daughter's little hand and admires her angelic face guarding her dreams while whispering "My little princess".
Iris breathes indignantly "I thought I was your princess" Barry looks at her and laughs.
"Well you are not anymore" He looks at Iris mockingly and she was ready to respond before he said "Because you are our queen now Iris, without you this family, this home, would not be possible"
He takes her hand to kiss it and she rushes toward him for a sweet kiss.
SCENE 4
Iris doesn't know why but she wakes up in the early morning and realizes that her husband is not by her side, well now she knows why she woke up in the early morning, she goes down to the kitchen but everything is in complete silence, she takes a glass of water and suddenly sees her husband coming out of the shower on the first floor completely naked with drops slipping from his marked abdomen, reaching his awake erection, Iris realizes she is looking at his body a lot so she raises her head to meet a smiling Barry and a hypnotizing look.
"I need you to help me get it down, I've been taking 2 showers with cold water and it already hurts, plus you with those shorts and no bra not that you're helping much."
Iris was happy to be able to help her husband.
SCENE 5
Being pregnant with Dawn has been a little difficult for Iris, she doesn't remember getting sick like this when she was pregnant with Noah of course, Barry is there for her whenever she needs him, whether it's to hold her hair while she throws up, rubs her back or just spoil her.
Right now Iris is lying on top of her husband on the couch.
"Are you tired?" Barry says as he rubs her back.
"No, I'm not exhausted I'm tired of throwing up and feeling weak" Iris replied as her eyes started to close, she too has been sleeping a lot during pregnancy, the first few times Barry was scared because she looks like she would pass out, but no, she just sleeps A LOT.
Barry realizes she is in limbo so he moves to carry her but she moans because the sudden movement makes her feel nauseous "Sorry, I just want to take you to our bed to make you more comfortable" Barry said while kissing her head.
He takes her to the room as he said and closes the door behind him, Noah is with his grandparents this week, they agreed that it would be the best thing for Iris to feel more comfortable and not have to hide that she was sick, plus this way Barry could concentrate 100% on his wife since he wasn't going to work this week.
Iris asks Barry to take off her bra and he does it, he puts it aside and runs his hands over her belly where his baby is protected by her mother, then he makes sure Iris is comfortable with the pillow, and he stands up to turn off the light and comes back to hug her, Iris intuitively puts her head on her husband's chest and her hand inside his shirt to feel even more his comforting warmth. Barry starts rubbing Iris up and down, all the way down her back to her waist, this of course lulls her even more to sleep.
"Love, did you fall asleep?" He asks looking down but is greeted by a soft tender snore from his wife, he just smiles, arranges a strand of hair that fell into her face, and whispers "Baby what are you doing to me?". He kisses her forehead once more and falls into a deep sleep with the most important women in his life.
SCENE 6
It was Barry's birthday, everyone was celebrating at the house, it was late, they had been celebrating since 2 pm but sleep had already taken over the children, only the adults were left, Barry's and iris' family and some friends, they had an incredible time, they had fun and drank a little, Iris out of the corner of her eye sees that her husband is tired, he starts yawning and rubbing his eyes, he tells his guests his thanks and that he had a great time, but that he is really tired because he has been working a lot, obviously everyone understands and they start to say goodbye with hugs and kisses.
Iris will organize that mess tomorrow, she leads Barry to their room as he rests his head on her shoulder and she rubs his back, Barry enters first and Iris turns back to close the door, but when she turns around Barry has his hands on her waist and went to attack her neck, Iris starts to laugh.
"I thought the birthday boy was sleepy? He laughs into her neck and settles back to look at her with fire in his eyes.
"That, that was just an excuse, I wanted to enjoy the present I've been waiting for since I woke up."
"Yes Mr. Allen? and may I know what that gift is?"
"As a gift, I want you in my bed."
That was an interesting night and Barry was more than satisfied with his birthday present.
