Yukio was a great kid, but Rin didn’t usually form bonds with the kids on his team.
Nor did he form bonds with the parents.
He couldn’t form bonds with parents. That would be unprofessional. There weren’t any parents he would want to get closer to. The thought hadn’t even crossed his mind when most of the parents he interacted with were middle aged vapid women who looked at him once before moving on.
Yoichi shouldn’t be any different. But he was. Rin barely knew him, but he could already tell. Something significant was different.

“Aw, RinRin. I’m the hottest alpha in all senses, and I’m happy to know you find me hot.” Ryusei’s teasing lilted, void of malice. He tapped the spot next to him in invitation. “I owe you one, so I’ll keep you warm as much as you need.”
Rin didn't need to be asked twice and joined Ryusei on the bed, sitting cross-legged next to him to enjoy his inexhaustible source of warmth. He curled his fingers in the sleeves of his hoodie and placed his clenched hands near Ryusei’s body, hesitant to make physical contact for the first time.
