Icewall
𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄: Any world (no matter how improbable) in a spatiotemporally infinite rule-based random universe is virtually certain to exist (merely occupying a smaller portion of phase space).
𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐘: Any world that someone thinks is “cool,” given sufficiently advanced means of production, is virtually certain to be produced.
Icewall is a meta-setting for RPGs and stories; any book/game/TV mash-up might occur on this surreal infinite plane of ice -- superheroes, superscience, psionics and magic, space opera (there is at least one galactic disc); very unpleasant things, people, organizations, conspiracies, and strange occurrences -- contradictions are legitimate; an alien invasion doesn't need to cross light years of space, just a few thousand miles of Antarctic conditions (imagine Trantor attacked by a horde of cold and hungry cavemen). It all stemmed from asking myself "What if...?" one day.

Summary
I threw this together overnight (and have tweaked it some since then). Just applying a few little CSS party tricks that I've learned or developed along the way... 😉
My tricks aren't revealed in the narration, but since this is a How To series, you should be able to ferret them out by now — and if not, then take it as your homework challenge! ❤️

Summary
This is an examination of how to scale power levels of characters (comics, anime, movies, writing, RPGs, etc.). Specifically, it acts as a general guide for small differences of rank (e.g.: John Q. Public might be rank D, and Batman Rank A) and exponential differences of tier (e.g.: John Q. Public and Batman are both human, nothing overly special, Tier 1; the Justice League or X-men Tier 2; Q of ST:TNG likely Tier 3...). It's a meta-work.
Being into mathematics isn't necessary here, though fellow math geeks might have a ball with Knuth's up-arrow notation (and a little ZF(C)).

Targeting specific AO3 work sections (not site) with CSS effects by Charles_Rockafellor, 𝖀𝓷ᶦ𝕔ⓞðə E Ⓜ️🅾️j̵͍̟̝̝̖̮̓ͭͨ̂̐̚ℹ️ (Charles_Rockafellor)

Summary
Want to apply CSS effects (e.g.: some background color, image, or .gif) to entire sections automatically from your work skin (without having to waste precious character count within said sections)?
Wish you could adjust the font, color, highlight, alignment, etc. of the section headers themselves? Perhaps even extend the work beyond the boundaries, covering that wasted space to the sides, and even the site page header and footer regions?
No clue where to even start? Tired of trying to find which part of the work is which from peeking at other works' work skin rules, or mucking about with trial and error?
🤣 Don't Panic. 😉
Here you'll find how to aim your work skin rules at any section of your work (or combination thereof) that you want — and yes, even how to expand those effects to outside of the work area ! (Even... comments )

Summary
Billie Badass is from one of the galaxy's most dangerous and hardy species (though also, punnily enough, rather hearty ) — a Genomorph (a hermaphroditic species halfway between the Gelatinous Blobs of Futurama and the Pleasure GELFs of Red Dwarf; not precisely a Star Trek DS9 Changeling, but similar enough) — though not suicidally stupid enough to go near Humans... until one fateful trip. Now cast away, ze learns from a local — Avery, a Deathworlder — adapts, overcomes, and survives.
When you get to UWP X8779745, you might wish to consult the Traveller UWP charts.
NB 27 Sep 2021: 4th [short] story in series, added yesterday! (Happy almost-anniversary [17 Oct] to the first 2 Space Orcs stories in the series!)

The Space Orcs are coming, hooray, hooray! by Charles_Rockafellor
Part 1 of Tell me more about this Earth-thingSeries Information:
ID: 1975186
Words: 47,434 | Works: 7 | Complete: Yes | Bookmarks: 9
Description:A shapeshifting Genomorph and a Deathworlder (i.e.: Human, a.k.a. Space Orc) meet under less than ideal circumstances. The Genomorph finds zerself in dire straits, zer ship marooned on Earth, and ze's surrounded by lethal wildlife of every description. Over time, they find each other not quite so alien as one might expect, and discover together that deathworlds and hellworlds can hold a certain charm.
In a later episode, the party grows as they're joined by a Space Cat-girl and her girlfriend, and all of the complications and hijinks that such things can entail.
Every time that I think that I've finished this series, a new idea crops up. For now (as usual) it's “Complete”... for a given value of complete. 😆
NB: If you're wondering, please see my tutorial “How to make and fix a series on AO3” (in a series with another tutorial on CSS work skins for fonts, which made that link become underscored blue ink [assuming that your browser settings, site skin, and third party apps didn't prohibit it]).
