“That’s it,” Vox growled, shoving his younger self back a step. “You’re lucky I can’t delete you because I’d do it in a heartbeat.”
“Oh, don’t be like that.” Pilot Vox stepped back slightly, just enough to feign compliance. But the glint in his eyes betrayed him — he was playing, circling, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce. “Admit it — you’re at least a little turned on by me. By us.”
Vox refused to dignify that with a response.
“C’mon,” Pilot Vox teased, his grin practically audible. “You know what they say — if you’ve got it, flaunt it. And clearly, I’ve got it. Or... you’ve got it? We’ve got it?” He paused, frowning in mock confusion. “Man, pronouns get weird when you’re talking to yourself.”
Vox stared at him, wondering — not for the first time tonight — how it was possible for someone so insufferable to share his code.

Lucifer rubbed the back of his neck in chagrin, “It's just been a long time since I've had-" well, anything, "multiple partners at once-" he dodged the admission quickly. He wasn't used to being so thoroughly caught on the back foot, but that had been a reality of his for the past few months of dealing with this particular sinner it seemed…
"I can top or bottom, whatever works out best for- Uh, well, I've never really had a preference- but it does seem kind of wasteful to not..." he felt suddenly self-conscious, admitting this particular detail to someone he would readily throttle on a good day, and the relative stranger who was also the head of the company that made money smack talking on a hell-wide scale. What the hell was he even doing...
Just as he felt himself starting to retreat inward, Alastor stepped forward and grabbed his chin, pulling him up to look him in the eyes.
"Tell me what you wish of me, my king," he growled, in just a dangerous enough tone that Lucifer's toes would have curled if he had them.In which Lucifer acquired more than just dance partners.

Summary
Alastor asks Vox to use his powers to hypnotize him, curious to see if Vox can do so now that he has had years of practice since they last tried. They experiment with a new approach, and Vox finds a way to tap into Alastor's frequency, being able to access his mind more easily. They find a rhythm that works for them, but Alastor isn't telling Vox the entire story behind his curiosity; instead, he just keeps pushing, which leads to misunderstandings, and Alastor soon finds that he’s bitten off more than he can chew.
