Cody wouldn’t mind sharing with this one. Rex was different. He was perfect. Handsome, with broad shoulders and a lovely smile. Cody was going to keep this one. Rex bent down to look into the lower cupboards and the door of the one above him swung a little further open, settling right above Rex’s head. Cody gathered some energy and nudged it closed.
He was in love.

Cody’s fingers were cold and clumsy on the reins, the chill night air was still coiled around him not yet chased off the feeble morning sun. Cody shivered. If they’d known they’d have dressed for colder weather but his coat was wrapped around Rex and Rex’s was back in town. Along with near enough everything else they owned.

Summary
Cody waits until Rex is asleep to let himself think about it. As good as he feels, it isn’t difficult to focus entirely on his physical state and shove the howling thing in his head behind a few walls for a while. His body is still thrumming gently with pleasure, and the bed beneath him is probably the softest thing he’s ever laid on; he lets himself enjoy the feeling until Rex’s breath on the back of his neck goes soft and even and deep, his arm lax over Cody’s side.
But then Cody is alone with his thoughts, and the lingering pleasure is fading, and he can’t ignore it anymore.Rex loves him.
