Misdirection is a guess-the-author challenge for the Kuroko no Basuke fandom in the tradition of Blind Go and Subrosa Tennis. Writers submit fics that are then posted anonymously for a period, and community members will attempt to identify the author of each fic based on their writing style.

The timeline for Misdirection 2014 is as follows:

9th December 2013: Sign-ups open. The collection opens to posting fanfics.
25th January 2014: Deadline for sign-ups and for submission of fics.
26th January 2014: Works in the Misdirection collection go live and the guessing period opens.
1st February 2014: Deadline for guessing.
2nd February 2014: Authors are revealed.
Early February 2014: Prize winners are announced.

1. Anyone is allowed to contribute!
2. We do ask that you abstain from reposting/reblogging your fic elsewhere until that fortnight’s challenge is over.
3. There are weekly prompts, but the prompt is open from two weeks from posting.
4. Fics should be a minimum of 100 words.
5. Submit your fic to the Tumblr blog and we’ll post it!
6. You can post multiple fics per challenge.
7. You can repost to this AO3 collection if you wish after the challenge is over. Just type "basketballpoetsociety" into the collections field.
8. Go wild.
