Spock Prime relies on his memories of Jim to cope with being stranded in an alternate universe. But after he is poisoned by an unknown substance, his ability to remember his past begins to fade. The crew of the Enterprise join him in his search to find a cure before all of his memories are gone.

After Jim's 'death' in the Nexus, Spock is a shell of himself. Bones can't let that stand, so he goes into the Nexus himself and takes Jim's place. Jim escapes, but is released into the AOS universe, many decades later.
On hiatus, but the first half makes sense as a standalone fic with an open ending.
