As we start to wrap up the year, we come to you with Wrap It Up: An AO3 Tag Exchange!
This will be similar to our summer switcheroo event, with a few fun twists; instead of exchanging prompts, participants will be exchanging ao3 tags. The author can take their given tags in any direction they choose (as long as it loosely fits the winter vibes theme)!

If you had asked Alex growing up what he wanted to be, he would have said a lawyer. A politician like his parents. Maybe something in business. Never would he have dreamed he would become a fucking chef, of all things.
Alex watches the snow swirling outside and seriously considers going home, though it’s hard to stand up. He knows that he should try and salvage what little sleep he still can until they have to do this all over again tomorrow. He’s about to force himself to do the right thing when Henry Fox, his restaurant manager, shows up at his side holding a bottle of their best house red.
The wine combined with the one year anniversary of Alex accomplishing his dream of running his own restaurant leads to some additional revelations...

Spending the holidays apart was not what either of them preferred, but there was still an amount of duty to uphold, even if Henry was close to no longer being a prince. His renouncement was in the works, but nothing moved quickly when it came to the monarchy. Hence — holidays in England. Alex had planned to go with him, and Henry would have loved that, certainly, but when his grandparents revealed they were coming up from Mexico to visit for Christmas, it’d nearly torn Alex in half from not knowing where to go. Who to choose.
“Go to Texas, love,” Henry had told him, cradling Alex’s face in his hands, making sure he could see there was no disappointment in his eyes. That when he said to go the opposite direction from him, he meant it. “We’ll have a holiday of our own after.”

Henry sucks in a breath, heart beating wildly. He wants to say yes, but he’s afraid he might do something he might regret, like kiss Alex under that tree – something he’d come dangerously close to doing last year, saved only by his well-practiced self-control.
He holds on to that self-control again.
“I’m still quite enjoying the party. Besides, they’d be mad if we disappeared again,” he says, nodding toward their friends.
Or, Alex and Henry didn't kiss that night at the New Year's Party. But of course, they eventually do.
