One of Joe’s biggest hurdles was recognizing that something was actually wrong in his family. The main attitude was either ‘nothing is wrong’ or ‘we’re fine, you’re just doing this to yourself’. Having a divine force acknowledge the situation as toxic will remind him of what he went through, but it will also prevent him from falling into mindsets where he can’t see his family’s actions as wrong and blames himself for everything.
