   I fully, completely agree that this is a more satisfying ending for all of the characters - Klaus grows into the realization that he doesn't need Elijah, Elijah takes responsibility for the damage he's done to his family, Hope isn't completely abandoned by her parents, and Caroline has her epic love and an ally in her quest to save her own children. It makes much more sense than Elijah needlessly killing himself out of guilt, and Klaus leaving behind everyone else he loves.

      Thank you. I mean season 5 of originals was a load of nonsensical crap, but I think that ending would have at least left the fans on a high note. And fit with the character journey they were trying to go for. Honestly I think julie plec just hates the characters lol
