Papa Bun

Summary:

"𝕀'𝕝𝕝 𝕟𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕒𝕓𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕠𝕟 𝕪𝕠𝕦, 𝕃𝕚𝕥𝕥𝕝𝕖 ℂ𝕒𝕣𝕣𝕠𝕥."

An AU where Gregory loses Freddy's trust entirely after he dismembered the other animatronics. The bear did not believe that it was out of self defense and he also thinks that the bunny lady was just a lie he made up so he could stay in the Pizzaplex.

The abandoned Gregory finds himself stuck in the Plex yet again. This time, he accidentally wanders to an abandoned Parts and Service, just to find a broken Glamrock Bonnie inside. He decides to live in the small room for as long as he can, and fix the animatronic up as he could, so he may feel a bit less alone. Even if Bonnie may not be able to power on back again.

But things take an unexpected turn.

"Gregory! How could you!"

The little boy known as Gregory ran. Ran from his best friend. That is, rather from his former best friend. He was getting chased. But not in a friendly way. He was trying to hurt him. Freddy was trying to hurt him. The one who swore to protect him.

"How could you hurt my friends!"

"They tried to kill me!"

He took turns in corners unexpectedly, in order to lose the mad bear. But the sound of his footsteps seemed to be getting closer. He knew that if Freddy caught him, he'd be in a lot of trouble.

"You lied to me!'

"I defended myself!"

He had a dangerous idea. The basement. Nobody ever goes down there and it's a really dark place, as Freddy told him earlier. It has buggy endoskeletons, which are far too dangerous, especially for a child. But he had to try it. His life might've depended on it. And he could deal with the endos later.

"I knew I shouldn't have believed you. Fell for a lie."

Freddy got too close. Tried to grab him. Gregory fastened his pace. Took a right turn. Then a left. A right again. Two lefts. He saw a staircase leading below ground level. He bolted towards it at full speed.

"...And there's no bunny lady. It's just your excuse to stay here."

He didn't hear Freddy's footsteps anymore, but he couldn't take any risks. When he will be downstairs, he will be somewhat more safe.

"F-Freddy...?"

"I'm so disappointed in you."

He was in such a hurry that he slipped while going down. Luckily, there were not much steps left. He fell on his back, hissing out in pain.

"Well sorry I'm trying to survive!"

"Oh, in vain I decided to take pity in you."

"I don't need your pity!"

Gregory got into a sitting position. His back and head was hurting badly. His vision blurry and his head dizzy.

Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching. It was Freddy!

Trying to ignore his pain as much as he can, he got up and ran deeper into the darkness of the basement. Now, he lost his vision and could only rely on his other senses.

He was not able to guess how much he walked in the darkness already. Not like he cared, anyways. The only thing that mattered in this moment was that he couldn't hear Freddy anymore. One source of danger was off of his list. Now, only the Security Bots and Endos remained.

"I should have handed you to Officer Vanessa right away. But I felt sorry for you."

His hand found a door handle. His heart sped up in excitement. Maybe he can find a temporary shelter in this room.

What he found inside was an old-looking Parts and Service. But he was not so sure, because the dim lights hadn't lit up the place that much. Only he could see was and old charging station, robotic parts, some shelves and a lot of wires. One certain place in the room was especially dark. Gregory decided not to go there, because it creeped him out.

He found some old rags on the shelves, and a belt bag. He made them like they were blanket and a pillow, and laid down on them. He was tired. So tired. His alertness gone along with his adrenaline rush. He fell asleep quickly and easily.

"Why didn't I get a cute and well-mannered child?  Why didn't I get a good kid? "

That was the moment Gregory has snapped. He took down his FazWatch and threw it to the ground. This earned an angry "Gregory?!" from Freddy. These words triggered him. Everybody said that. And now, the closest person (?) to him as well. But he trusted him. He trusted him and hoped he would find a new friend. He just couldn't take it anymore.

"I don't need your help, nor your pity. Have fun with the kids better than me" he spat angrily, then ran off.

"GREGORY!"

That was the moment their chase had begun.

Forgot to mention: Gregory will be a mechanical genius, and I am lazy to do research on robotics, sorry.

Chapter Text

Gregory slowly awoke from his slumber. He had a dreamless sleep. He was so drowsy that he forgot how he got here.

"Where am I? Why can't I see anything?"

He tried to sit up. Pain shot trough his back. He hissed quietly. Everything came crashing back to him. Freddy. The stairs. He was now aware where he was and why he was here. His eyes watered. Not only because of the physical, but the emotional pain as well. He felt betrayed. Abandoned.

"What am I going to do now?"

He looked around the small room. The dim, blueish lights still not helping to see.

One of the first things he was able to spot is the dark corner he was afraid to go closer. Seems like nothing harmful was there, because if there were, he might've been dead already.

Gregory got to his feet as careful as he could. His back was killing him. He knew for sure that he didn't break it. He was able to walk around normally luckily, but with random, painful strikes.

He decided to investigate what he could find on the shelves first. Carefully, trying hard not to trip on one of the wires, he approached the closer one out of the two.

He found some more dusty rags, a lot of wires and... A purple bunny ear? Why would anyone need that? There is no rabbit animatronic in the Pizzaplex. Right?

Gregory decided to keep the wires and the ear, just in case he wants to tinker with anything. He went back to the improvised bed of his, and put the wires into the belt bag. The ear was too big, so he left it next to his "blanket".

The second shelf turned out to be a bit more useful. He found a toolbox full of with equipment, a pair of eyes that had red orbs, a flashlight with a pack of batteries and a device that looked like the scanner the animatronics used to identify people. Behind the scanner was an oily rag. Gregory lifted it to see if there's anything more useful. He found two USBs. Both of them were labeled. The first one's text was very worn, he only could read "Par__t  _od_" out of it. The second USB seemed to be a bit newer, having lullabies in it, as the label promised.

Gregory took everything. Anything could be useful one day.

He decided to check out the charging station next. Nothing out of the ordinary. The same station he saw Freddy use, but older. It could even work if he fixed it in the right places.

Suddenly, a semi-loud creak came from that dark part of the room. Gregory jumped a bit. He put the batteries into the flashlight in a hurry. Turning it on, he shone it to... An animatronic?!

It was a bunny. A purple one. Maybe a he. All Gregory saw that it was missing a lot of parts. His face. His left ear. A lot of holes were on his body. His right arm was only connected to his body with a few wires.

Gregory slowly stepped closer. He didn't seem to be activated. But he shouldn't jump to conclusions that quickly. Nothing might be what it seems at first. If he learned anything important while roaming the Pizzaplex, this was one of them.

But Gregory was a curious and desperate child. He quickly brushed off his worries. 'I'm homeless, and the only one I trusted the most betrayed me. I have no family. Nor anything to live for. Might as well be brave!' he thought, as he knelt next to the broken bunny animatronic.

"You must be Bonnie Freddy once talked about" he said aloud. "I'm Gregory."

He felt a bit weird for talking to something that can't hear or respond to him. But it felt nice. Like he wasn't alone in this cold, dark room. Like somebody finally understood him by not responding.
