"The Bulb Girlfriend." It is a humanoid plant that grows from a blood-red bulb about 15 centimeters in diameter, fitting perfectly in both hands. It germinates in the soil and takes about a year to grow to the size of an adult woman. If nourished sufficiently, it can be separated from the soil and "harvested." The "Bulb Girlfriend" possesses high intelligence and self-awareness, capable of acting autonomously. She will love you—her one and only partner—sincerely and with all her heart, just like a real human woman, or perhaps even more devotedly than one.

Summary
The story about a girl, Atzi that lives with her colony deep in the forests and plains of what would be Mexico today. Her colony is feed by a special plant that keeps their immune system strong due to a curse cast upon them by Xolotl (the aztec god of illness). Said plant goes by the name of Satuz which are in danger of extinction and causes her colony to go into panic. As time progresses, the people start falling ill and start dying, until Atzi meets her fate 8 months after the initial announcement.
This story deals with a lot of feelings of hopelessness and (possibly) suicidal thoughts. There is also a major implied queer relationship between two girls so if that triggers you I recumbent you drop it. This story also deals with a major death (excluding MC's).- Language:
