    The next thing he hears is…wet. A sort of shaking, gargling sound, that feels like the ugliest crying he’s ever heard. And through it, Shane’s voice. 

    “I’m with him now, mom. He’s— he’s not fine. He’s not. I know—”

    Ilya wants to ask who's not fine, but he can’t feel his own body, his mouth, enough to ask.

    “Yeah,” Shane is saying, only slightly calmer. “I know. He wasn’t breathing—"

    Ilya knows there's a link, between the clinical musicality of medical settings, Shane’s audible, awful distress, and his own physical incapacity. It’s just, it’s so tenuous, and the air around him is so thick, so heavy. It would be easy, to sleep, a little.

      Good fic that is strangely different from the vibe I got from the summary lol

      The fic covers bruce-quest aftermath, following bruce's recovery and tim's collapse as he's finally finished his mission - bruce has gone to therapy and tries to bring tim backninto rhe fold. It doesnt go well in the beginning, but with the power of teamwork they manage to do it. Jason saves tim in battle and takes care of him afterwards when he's under rhe effects of a truth serum that dick and damian were taking advantage of.

      This earns tim's trust.

      Then Arkham blows up (bc of the league and Talia, who vows that Damian will take his place as his father's only son) and gothamnis in chaos. Bruce gets shot by Joker and almost paralysed so goes to watchtower to recover and help with an off world case, damian goes with bc he's been stripped of robin. Jason and tim discover rhe league in gotham and almost get got multiple times, but Cass helps them. And damian doesn't try to kill tim! Talia kills Ra's and renounces damian as her son.

      Joker still loose, he tells Robin to show up at ehe Duck Pond in Robinson Park. Tim realises he's figured iut their identites and says he has to go. Jason dick and tim all go, accompanies by half of gotham dressed as robin (we are robin mivement) and storm the park. Tim gets held hostage by the joker and lured into a helicopter where he joker dick and jason all fight mid air - tim gets thrown out and, before he dies and jason gets killed by joker, shoots the joker and then falls to his death. Except dick jumps out of rhe plane after him and they parachute (with wings!) To safety. All good, resolution with lesrning tk be damily again in the end - Introduction and duke and cass into the fold!

    His last thought as the lights explode in his head and he tastes color is I hope computers are a thing whenever Other Tim lands. I’d hate to be put on trial for witchcraft. Fuck it, if I overshoot I’m gonna ride a goddamn dinosaur. Hell. Yes.
