    Kirk and Spock are tasked with bringing down an arm of the Orion Syndicate. This mission requires them to go deeply undercover--Jim as a slave trader, Spock as a slave. Only a few key higher-ups in the Federation are in on the plot. In order to get the entire galaxy to believe they're serious, Jim sells Spock into slavery and goes rogue as a slave runner with the core of his crew.

    Before they part, Spock establishes a link between his mind and Jim's, so at least they won't be alone in their own personal hells, and can coordinate their plans. Nevertheless, their new roles push them both to their limits. On their quest for personal and intergalactic freedom, the crew discovers just what they are capable of, and Kirk and Spock learn how much they mean to each other.

    The ambassador nodded. “Likewise, even in four-dimensional space, we are separated from the things we have lost only by distance—by the fact that we cannot easily travel along the timeline.” He marked out a section of his timeline, then a dot further back in the bottom timeline—Jim’s timeline. “My marriage is here. I am here, in a different timeline and at a different time. But my marriage exists. It is a figure in four-dimensional space which will continue to exist, in that sense, eternally. So long as the timeline does not collapse, it is a permanent part of history. So although I do not have my spouse with me, I know that he existed. That somewhere, in a time and a dimension I cannot go, we are meeting for the first time. That somewhere, I am asleep in his arms.”

    Jim lifts his and Spock’s arms into view of the camera. “Yes ma’am.”

    “Really?” The Admiral says in a tone of unabashed curiosity.

    “I can assure you, ma’am, we are not doing this for recreational purposes.” Spock says dryly.

    Or the one in which Jim gets hit with Sex Pollen TM, but Spock doesn't like his consent dubious so politely declines.
    Luckily, that crisis is averted. Unluckily, Jim and Spock realize they have been left unable to go without touching for more than a few minutes without excruciating pain. If only they could cure it through the power of confessing their feelings and having scorching hot sex!

      Quite literally one of the best fics I’ve ever read in my life. I could see the scenes play out like a movie. The tension was exactly right, the characters voices were spot on and EPAS felt SO real that I was genuinely shocked when I realized it was created just for this fic?? It’s so incredible! Seeds planted in early chapters pay off waaaaaay down the line, it’s crazy.
      1000000/10, will read again.

He and Spock have become a force to be reckoned with as far as them being a command team since their time on the Enterprise started 8 months ago but Jim knows the Vulcan still doesn’t like him very much. Yes, they play chess twice a week and they do tend to do their paperwork together in the Ready-room but that doesn’t mean they are friends. Uhura on the other hand has her shit together- she speaks Vulcan fluently, always looks stunning, has her paperwork handing in early and even looks beautiful in does stupid robes she was made to wear for this ceremony.

    A single Romulan from Nero's crew survives, who is pulled through the forming singularity to approximately 13 years into the past. Aware that he could lose everything if he were to wait for his revenge, Nero decides to even the odds by kidnapping a young Spock and Kirk and deliberately sets about to change the time line. Meanwhile, scientists monitoring the anomaly that the artificial singularity left behind receive confirmation that a member of Nero's crew is alive and in the past. Uncertain of the impact upon their own time line or indeed upon the Federation of the (new) alternate time line, Starfleet Command issues orders for the Enterprise crew who are in their second year of serving together to investigate the matter by going through the anomaly. Pre-slash K/S, slash ending. Implied slash for young K/S.
