There are Phantom elements in this story, but this is not a Phantom retelling, nor will there be a love triangle. It is a Tom pretending he is not Voldemort until everything comes crashing down story. Snake face Voldemort is integral to this story.
Also, just in case you haven’t read every tag: Hermione dies relatively early in this fic, and her death haunts the narrative. The decision was not made lightly. I personally love the trio as their sometimes flawed but loyal selves. There is no character bashing in this fic.
