Summary
Martyn took a deep breath as he walked out the forestry and into the open, just in front of large wooden walls that separate a desolated and cursed town from the rest of the world, where he will find loss, grief and connections he’ll bring with himself his entire life.
The story may be familiar, but one character has changed. The young warrior is lying about his past, but this time his reason is incredibly different. This time, he carries with him and hides the pain of a thousand lives, of long grief and of suffering.
And he won’t be able to lie to the end.Or, MultiverseTraveller!Martyn (inspired by but not exactly like his VTuber lore) is the one who goes to Oakhurst. This changes everything, but makes him suffer just as much.

Martyn heard himself let out a breathy laugh, rife with disbelief. He stared at the other man and a twisted level of understanding settled over him. Out of all the people he’d encountered on his journeys, of course Grian would be the one he bumped into in a realm of immortal beings.

"So Martyn resigned himself to his fate and played the role of a spoiled noble’s son who didn’t know how to get about in the world. And yet, the face of the Datastream Defender couldn’t be further from the truth. The amount of bloodshed he’d seen and caused with his own two hands had long become background noise for him. The scars on his skin that never stuck outside of the world that made them, the way he was incapable of leaving traces of his existence behind, the fleeting touches had become a fool’s dream—thus was the Datastream Defender. The Datastream Defender must leave the world of Oakhurst to continue on his journey. However, an all-too familiar face stops him from escaping, and Martyn can't ever run away from him. Not after all they've been through.
