“Estel could do better,” Elrohir argued. “Maglor let that human boy come right up to him with some bread. He’s either avoiding us because we sound like Father…”
That might be it, Elladan reflected, but that might not be all. “Or we’re too Elvish.”
There was a pause.
Elrohir drained his cider and set his mug down at the bar with a measured, precise click. “Well, I suppose there is only one thing left to do.”

“Ah, there he is,” said Elros to Beldis. “Good to know he hasn’t changed, although I hope he was more polite to Fingon the last time he was found by song.”
