He hears a multitude of yelling, his ears picking out Amy's shrill voice and Rouge's low one. He's a bit too far away to hear exactly what's going on, and the clanging of his fists against the eggbots isn't helping. He's a bit concerned that the racket hasn't ended, though. He's almost finished clearing out the last of the robots, intending to check on the issue after, but then he hears it,
"Shadow! PLEASE- SHADOW-!!"
Just like that, his attention shifts. He whirls around, eyes sharp and ears scanning. That was Tails' voice, coated in fear and desperation as he calls for Shadow.

Her hands in her lap tense. Her muscles contract. On instinct her body doesn’t let her relax, and she’s not sure it ever will, not when Grace spent what was left of her sanity caring for Trinity, and when it was too much to handle, let her body relax forever. She let herself give into it. Trinity wanted to give into it too.
Trinity faces relapse; Robby tends to her. It's not as unnatural or wrong as either of them feels it should be.

“Shinji,” Akihiko starts, stepping in and placing a hand firmly on his shoulder. He tugs him back a bit, or tries, but Shinjiro doesn’t budge. He turns and looks at him, scrunching his nose at Akihiko as he does.
“What? The kid almost gets us killed, and I can’t say nothin’ about it?”
“It’s –” True, what Shinji said. It was a bad move. Remains that way, too. Akihiko can say as much because he’s made the same mistakes before, several times over. He’s been on the receiving end of these kinds of scoldings, too, more times than he could count.
But it’s different with Amada, Akihiko thinks. And he’s sure Shinji feels the same, even if he’s too pissed off right now to care. “It’s not like he meant to,” he deflects, frowning, “He just got ahead of himself. It happens.”
A rescue mission doesn't go as planned.
