Summary
During the planning stages of Gi-hun’s obsession with the games, Jun-ho slipped and told Gi-hun more than he intended about his time as an undercover guard. Armed with an explosive bit of knowledge, and still suspicious of Player 001 after their confrontation on watch, Gi-hun plans his rebellion better. Slightly better, but then, he's always had dumb luck. A small sacrifice for the greater good. When Jun-ho finally finds the island, it falls to him to make the call about the disclosure of Player 001’s true identity. Never mind that Gi-hun might just figure it out on his own, opening a Pandora's box to a perfect storm.
And then? Gi-hun can't let things go. Can't let him go. As much as he might lie to himself and say he doesn’t care about the one who tried so hard to psychologically break him. Blame Young-il for having made everything so complicated, and In-ho's also always been obsessive about a certain favorite horse. But the clouds must clear, and every dark night turns into day.
