Jason was shivering.
Tim kept glancing over at him, muttering more spells under his breath as he spun his hands over the small cauldron. Jason had been in and out for a while, the magically induced fever the sorcerer had put him under doing strange things to his body. Tim had never seen anything like it before, and it was making him nervous.
Jason’s back arched as he groaned in pain. Tim stopped his magic quickly, leaning over to hold him down. Jason whimpered, and Tim grimaced in sympathy. He reached over to the small dish of ice water on the bedside table, imbuing some more of his healing magic into the water as he twirled the cloth around the bowl before lifting it and squeezing some of the water out. He gently dabbed away the sweat beading at Jason’s temples, making soft noises he hoped were soothing, before letting the cloth rest on his forehead.Written For JayTim Week 2026, Day 3: Magic, Bed Sharing

Haltingly, she said, “Xiao-shuzi. Come here.”
He walked over, crouching lower to see what she had found on the infant’s back. With only the light from glowing embers in the firepit and cool dawn peeking through the windows, it wasn’t easy to see, but when he saw what caused his sister-in-law to pause, his heart began racing.
Like smoke drifting up from a pyre to a white, overcast sky, a trail of something dark followed the infant’s spine down his back, glinting like the scales of a black koi fish swimming through a spring. From experience, he knew that they were, in fact, scales, and his fingers remembered the trail of iridescent-white down his lover’s spine, as cool and hard as diamond, and how she had shivered when he traced it.

Retired royal guard and servant to the King, an exhausted Wei Changze returns home to Yiling, defeated. A month later, he finds a baby on his doorstep--his son, a dragon-child like his mother, and definitely magical. Which was problem, because magic is a capital offense.

For a moment, there was silence. Kaito was deep in his thoughts and Miku was waiting for a response.
“...I must get going. It’s late. I’ll send a letter regarding those two.” Kaito finally said. “Good night.”

The voice he hears above him is as he had expected; regal, booming, and calculated. He tries to ignore the way it makes his insides twist painfully, feeling… something he can’t place.
Suddenly, Crowley feels a gentle hand under his chin, pushing ever so slightly to guide his gaze upwards. He is finally met with the icy blue of King Aziraphale’s eyes, but, while he was expecting their cold hue, he was not anticipating being met with such startling softness. The King gives him an almost imperceptible half-smile, one that makes Crowley consider putting his helmet on to help cover the embarrassing warmth that rises unbidden to his cheeks. Then-
“Rise, Sir Crowley.”
The moment is over.
