It had been years since the power they'd kept from the Feywild had misbehaved like that. Nine years, to be perfectly exact.And that last time it had happened, Tav had been forced to call for Meli's help, for fear they would do something irreparably stupid. As so often happened, whenever the ever changing tide of their moods escaped them and the magic flared with chaos in consequence. But they couldn't afford stupid, not right now. Not when everybody's safety depended on their decisions.
It had to be the tadpole's doing. It had to be. No need for concern now, their mind was still their own, and everything was under control. Probably.
The more immediate worry, the one that truly kept their thoughts away from Wyll's re-enactment and Karlach's laughter, was that Storm had barely slept at all in the three days that had passed since that poor dragonborn had met an untimely end at his hand.
