And what obstacles will lie in their path?

Rose Tico is at the end of her rope. Her parents died in an industrial plant explosion when she was fifteen. Her sister, Paige, died in Iraq years ago. Her promising situationship with one of her best friends, Finn, never panned out. And her year-and-a-half relationship with her best friend, Rey, ended disastrously, though they remained friends.
Depressed and lonely, Rose pours all of her energy into her car mechanic job in Passyunk Square, Philadelphia, and swears off relationships. But when the tall, charming, and persuasive Jackie Lawson arrives at her work to get his car exhaust leak fixed, the two become instantly attracted to each other. After Rose fixes the leak, Jackie offers her a night of dirty fun. Against all the good judgment and caution that her family, friends, and mentors ingrained in her, she accepts and gets far more than she expected.
The title of the fic comes from the song "Bad Decisions" by Ariana Grande.
