Once, there were two prisoners.
One was banished above, to the heavens, to find a cure for a plague that devoured stars. Sealed inside a sarcophagus of aluminum and steel, his people sang "hero," but he knew better. Because if he had been, he would not be a prisoner.
The other was banished below, to the abyss, to find a light that eluded humanity’s fragments. Sealed inside a tomb of iron and glass, his people sang "butcher," and they were right. Because if he hadn’t been, there would not be a hero.
