Chay stopped three feet away. He didn't smile.
"You're late" Kim said. His voice remained flat, the practiced monotone of a man who refused to let his scent betray his desperation.
Chay tilted his head, his eyes darkening as they swept over Kim’s rigid posture.
"I didn't realize you were counting the minutes, Kim."
"I don't like waiting."
Chay stepped closer, entering Kim’s personal space. The heat radiating from the Alpha was a furnace. He reached out, his large hand gripping Kim’s jaw, forcing him to look up. The height difference was stark; Kim had to crane his neck, feeling the shadow of the younger man swallow him whole.
"You smell like you're about to break," Chay murmured. His thumb brushed over Kim’s lower lip, pressing hard enough to leave a mark. "Still pretending you're in control?"
Kim didn't flinch. He leaned into the touch, a microscopic movement, but his eyes remained cold.
"I'm in control of everything except this."

“You don’t get to tell me what to do!” Chay screamed, his fingers tightening around the gun. “You have no idea how much you’ve hurt me. How much I’ve cried myself to sleep every night because of you. I have blamed myself for it all, you know?” he chuckled bitterly. “Maybe it was my fault for trusting you, for loving you as much as I did. If I hadn’t maybe it wouldn’t have hurt so much, but it does. It hurts so fucking much. It feels like you ripped my heart out of my chest and crushed it beneath your feet.”
“Angel…” Kim’s heart shattered into a million pieces over and over with every word Chay spoke.
“I don’t know what to do anymore to make it all end. I hate that I can’t fix it and I hate that I still love you even after everything.”
Everyone else’s mouth was hanging open in shock at the scene before them. Kim’s response shocked them even further.
“So kill me then."
