Summary
In one afternoon, three banks in Gotham are robbed simultaneously. The bank robbers all wear unusual hats and none of them have priors. They speak only in Alice in Wonderland quotes. It's obvious, Jervis Tetch aka the Mad Hatter is back in town.
And Batman and Robin are on the case.
Only Bruce has some concerns about bringing in his ward, the former talon, when mind control is involved. Dick is already a killing machine who follows every order he's given without question. If Tetch could get ahold of him, there's no telling what he could do.

Slade had noticed that his former apprentice had been going through some changes as of late. He's been ill, exhausted, and showing signs of fatigue. And when he was back in the tower, he did nothing but sleep, when he was usually causing mischief with his so-called "friends." Which was strange, even for him. In the beginning he merely surveyed the young hero. But when he noticed that someone else had taken a liking to watching the boy, he took action. What the mercenary did not expect to find was the mythical Court of Owls. And for some reason they wanted Robin. So he did some research of his own. Turns out the boy isn't as normal as he thought he was.
Or rather Slade kidnaps Robin, accommodates him through his Talon transformation, and now has to deal with the aftermath of his sudden impulse to the help the damn kid.

The Talon stands again, the knife gripped in his hand. He kicks the head down the stairwell next to them. Bruce hears it tumble down. He turns to look up at Bruce. "I will not take another Master," he declares.
Bruce raises his eyebrows. "I did not intended on making you do so," he turns to start walking away but stops just a few paces before the exit. "If you wish, you could come with me. I think there is much to discuss." he begins walking again, but does hear the sound very light footsteps following him.
Bruce smiles.Or: another talon story, or how it could havs gone.
