"There was an animalistic fear in Stiles that Scott had only ever seen at the vet’s office from the nervous dogs who weren’t sure if they were going to be put down. If they’d ever see their owner again. What the vile holding a shot coming towards them contained. There were dogs who reacted with growling and aggression when they felt strong fear, but the ones that Scott thought of now at the sight of Stiles shuddering and frozen were the dogs that had so far surpassed the emotion of panic that they couldn’t even think to try and bite."
Aftermath of the absolute body horror Stiles experiences in throwing himself up following months of hell. Scott does his best to help him through it.

Derek’s hands clench at his sides and he has to fight not to grin at the wolf’s discomfort. “Please… Help me,” he begs, his steps lead him within a foot of the wolf, close enough to touch if he reached out. He doesn’t. Stiles wouldn’t.Derek reacts with blinding speed. Between one breath and the next the wolf has a clawed hand around his throat and his back is slammed against the stone wall behind him. Eyes alight with amusement as he stares back at Derek, who is now snarling around dropped fangs. “You’re not Stiles. What the fuck do you want?”
Aside from the snicker that escapes him, the fox doesn’t move a muscle, allowing himself to become completely pliant under Derek’s large hand. “To talk. To play a game.”
Derek’s lip curls in a sneer. “I don’t want to play with you,” he bites back.
“No. No, you want to play with Stiles. You want to do so much with Stiles.” The fox smiles gleefully.
