Shane rose to his feet, the melee of sounds muffled by the blood pounding in his ears. This would be his fourth Stanley Cup trophy, but it had never felt like this before. Terror over a last-second goal combined with disbelief and a flicker of hope. He clung to that little flame of hope as the seconds ticked away.
Shane earns a very, very nice reward for his performance in the playoffs.
