Summary
The Triwizard Tournament didn't end as expected. On June 24, 1995, Cedrick Diggory escaped from the graveyard where Lord Voldemort had been resurrected, taking Harry Potter's corpse with him.
The wizard known as the boy-who-lived was dead for almost an hour.
To everyone's surprise, Harry was resurrected, but in a different way than Tom Marvolo Riddle. He was resurrected by Hermione Granger, who, in desperation, managed to use a gift she shouldn't have had access to. And almost paid for it with her life.
Slow Burn Dramione, with a lot of friendship between Hermione, Ron, and Harry, doesn't guarantee a happy ending for all the characters. -

Amelia Potter is the almost year older sister to Harry Potter. They grew up as close as can be and many times other people have thought they were twins, and they might as well be.
At the start of 4th Year, Amelia has quite the crush on Cedric Diggory and someone else happens to have that same sized crush, but on her. Mattheo. For years he ignored her just like she did but over time, he can't help but start to feel attached to the girl he barely speaks with.
Over time, he tries to make her realize it's him she likes and not Cedric, but he doesn't even know what he's doing, and often he makes things worse. -

But it didn't matter because an Avada would kill, regardless of whether you were loved, whether you were popular, whether you worked hard, whether you were the centre of attention.
So now, he was nothing.
He had nothing, felt nothing, was nothing at all.

This is an excerpt of a re-imagining of the whole story that will (hopefully) have more parts to it. It's mostly an exploration of the relationship between Regulus and Harry, as well as the effects of the Cruciatus curse done my way.

Fate is a strange being. Neutral in all things, with only thoughts of seeing her job done, she did have a sense of dry humor.
So, when he “Chosen One” was decried as fake, when he was scheduled to die at the hands of the enemy so others would rise together to fight this new/old one, she took a long look at the boy. This new “Chosen One” and saw the life her sister had laid out for him. She also saw the greed one supposedly close to him had underneath his outer shell, and decided that the people only wanted the façade, the shell to die so they could martyr him in their books and lives as Destiny ordered.
That did not mean the soul had to be the same though. And this other “boy” wished so hard to change places with the soon to be martyr, that she allowed it. Changing the two souls with memories the night of the third task. As both boys awoke to the day of the task, and their new lives.
