Cyno and Tighnari, through the years.
They were so close he could hear Cyno’s gentle breaths. They stared at each other and Tighnari thought about all those years ago, when Cyno sat on his rickety chair in his dorm room drinking tea as the strands of sunset caught in his hair. When he was a beautiful stranger who saw Tighnari for who he was.
Tighnari always knew that Cyno would never ask for anything more. After today, Cyno would leave again, and he would watch over Tighnari along with the rest of Sumeru from afar. He would continue to prioritise himself last like he had always done.
But Tighnari was tired of watching him go.

Neuvillette has been acting strangely.
Of course, it is perfectly understandable given the recent events. The entire nation has been upended by the prophecy, and Neuvillette has been at the center of it all. With no Archon to rule Fontaine, the responsibility has been left entirely up to the Iudex. That’s not to say that Wriothesley himself isn’t busy either, no, of course not. He’s been swamped for weeks since that fateful day, and both of them have barely found time to see each other.
The short amount of time they do get together however, Neuvillette just seems off. Not the ‘I’m so stressed out and overworked’ kind of off, it’s something more… intimate.

“That’s alright,” Wriothesley laughs. “I mean it when I say I don’t mind the rain.”
They stand together in silence for a few moments, just letting the rain wash over them. Wriothesley tilts his head back, turning his face to the sky and relaxes. He barely flinches with each drop of rain that drips onto his skin. His mind is racing again, filled with thoughts of the man beside him. He tries to think of a way to breach the carefully constructed walls Neuvillette has built around himself. To find an excuse to take his hand in his and offer to take him out for dinner or a drink. They would drip on the floors of any establishment and get glaring looks shot in their direction, but Wriothesley would finally have what he wants – an evening alone with the most famous man in the Court of Fontaine.
But he doesn’t have to think of an excuse. Because slender fingers caress his own in a tentative, exploratory way before sliding over his palm. Wriothesley is careful not to react other than to widen the gap between his fingers so Neuvillette can slip his own in between.
Wriothesley runs into Neuvillette while visiting the overworld and the two share an intimate night together.
