Here’s the thing, Tim knew he was loved by his family.
He knew his family didn’t hate his powers.
He even knew they loved it when he used his powers for fun.
What he didn’t know was that he shouldn’t agree to every request. Shouldn’t shift every time they asked. Shouldn’t wear himself out pleasing his new family.
Because, everytime they asked for a shift, it became more frequent. Requests piled on top of each other and never ended.
Tim couldn’t keep up.
But he couldn’t say no either.
Couldn’t say no when his family asked him for something he could give. Couldn’t stop himself from shifting just because it put a smile on their face.
It didn’t matter that he was shifting too many times a day. Didn’t matter that his body was screaming at him to stop.
If it made them happy they wouldn’t leave.
And that was worth more than anything to Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne.
