   Maggie Reed is a single mother. She and her daughter Emma live outside the town of Mystic Falls. Maggie works as a cleaner during the day and tries to study in the evenings to ensure a better future for her daughter. Perhaps she will find that better future with the help of the archaic and dangerous Mikaelsons, that is if Maggie will allow their help.
