Summary
Daeron and Valarr remained in comfortable silence. Valarr was content to simply take in his rustic surroundings. He breathed in the fresh air, listened to the birds singing, felt the sun and shadow alternate over his skin. It was nice. He hadn't realised how much his drab surroundings had weighed on him in Kings Landing, and the presence of his retinue on the road. His mind wandered to faded memories of his boyhood, playing with his cousins in the cool water with a summer sun beating down on them, their mothers watching on. What would his mother think of him now?
They arrived at the clearing. It was smaller than he remembered.
Baelor and Valarr go to summerhall so Valarr can recover from nearly dying of the great spring sickness and have a lovely day fishing with Maekar and his sons.

Summary
After Ashford, the royal family fed up with Aerion’s vicious behavior, silence him and exile him to Essos.
For two months, everyone assumes Aerion is simply evading family oversight. In reality, he has been captured, enslaved, and forced into being a breeder Volantis. He endures this for years until he is physically ruined, rendered barren, and dies tragically alone, broken in mind, believing his family hates him enough to have wished this fate upon him.
Unbeknownst to Aerion, his father Maekar had blindly believed his son was fine until receiving a report of Aerion’s horrific, prolonged death. Maekar is utterly devastated, blaming himself entirely.
Angst? Heartbroken?

He had seen nearly nineteen autumns now, well beyond the standard and even beyond the higher end of when people typically presented. At first, the maesters had simply said he would be a late bloomer. Then as time passed and nothing changed, they had considered perhaps he was a beta with a very weak scent. By his current age, there was no doubt in anyone's minds.
