Summary
When Kyu-chan had initially proposed this mission, it seemed like a slam dunk. A married man is frequenting one particular nightclub. He was taking the hosts up to his reserved private room, and the target’s wife wasn’t too keen on it. She wanted a hit man to pose as a host, get brought up to that private room and take him out.
Easy enough. Kazuki had done a ton of honeypot jobs just like this in the past, and surely this would be no different aside from Rei taking on most of the child rearing. That was the thought, at least. Until Kyutaro turned his full attention to Rei and asked if he would take the job.

Summary
He opened the door to the apartment to the sight of Rei on his exercise bike, drenched in sweat. He was covered in old and new scars, a consequence and continued reminder of their line of work. Each bit of off colored or disfigured skin glistened in the dim light.
Dang I picked a really thirsty line for this summary.

Summary
Perhaps it was the late hour. Perhaps it was the way Kazuki’s soft hair looked in the dim living room lights. Perhaps it was the two of them, standing in the middle of what used to be rot, holding each other, a silent promise to stay.
Rei got up from the table, wandered to Kazuki, and buried his face in his other shoulder. He took a deep breath— laundry detergent, dinner, and Miri’s drool— and wrapped his arms around Kazuki’s waist.“Rei—? What—” Kazuki didn’t stiffen, but his voice seemed pleasantly surprised.
“...thanks.” For coming for me. Three years ago, tonight… tomorrow. For caring. Rei squeezed Kazuki tighter, as if the pressure against his ribcage would make him real (sometimes, Kazuki didn’t feel real— he was too caring, too loving, too good for someone like Rei).
“Anytime.” Kazuki leaned into the embrace, melting in Rei’s arms.
Oh. Rei blinked, the thought like a warm gust of wind. I love him.
