Summary
Buck has never been a huge fan of Groundhog Day—he just doesn't think it's Bill Murray's best work—so the irony isn’t entirely lost on him when he finds himself stuck in an actual, horrifyingly real time-loop; one where Eddie keeps dying, and Buck keeps waking up to ‘Barbie Girl’ blaring from a bedazzled iPad adorned with unicorns, Baby Yoda and Pororo the Little Penguin stickers.
This is such bullshit, and Evan Buckley is so incredibly over it, and he needs to figure out how to break this goddamn loop — if only Eddie would just stop fucking dying for maybe five minutes.

Summary
If Buck thought the aftermath of the lawsuit was bad, it had nothing – absolutely nothing – on the Winchesters barreling into his life, finding out the apocalypse was imminent, that his own death was a seal, and a demon hitting on him.
He really should have realized that when an angel shows up to stop you from throwing yourself off a bridge, that it isn’t always a good thing.
----
After the lawsuit, Buck is back at work, hoping to reconcile. Only...it doesn't go as planned. His family hates him and after a lifetime of rejection it's one hit too many. Buck plans his goodbye…only a certain angel stops him, 'borrows' him, hands him the Winchester-patented starter's guide to hunting manual, and gives him purpose again. Too bad that angel was so busy saving Buck, they forgot about the goodbye letters left in the loft.
---
Buck rubbed at the bridge of his nose tiredly. "I'm pretty sure this is kidnapping."Dean scoffed. Sam shot him a look. "Think of it as adult babysitting."
Gabriel waggled a bottle of top shelf bourbon from his perch on the TV stand. "With booze!"
Right. Buck eyed his new...friend, warily. "Okay, kidnapping adjacent."

Summary
He realizes it right before everything goes to shit. He’s just standing there in the loft and Eddie’s handing him Christopher’s backpack and talking about “he’s not that fast” and “order pizza” and Buck sort of stares at him—partly in shock, partly in reverence—and he thinks "I love you." He shoves it down immediately, of course, as far down as it’ll go, but the fact of the matter is, it’s there somewhere, floating around inside of him. He can’t get rid of it now.
Not that it matters all that much, though, because there’s the whole quitting thing and the lawsuit thing and the argument in the grocery store and by the time he’s given his (re)start date he knows; he well and truly fucked up.
