Summary
“I like you.” Will whispered back finally. Three simple words, that’s all it took for Mike’s world to be forever changed.
Mike liked Will. No, he loved him. He was the best person he’s ever known. But that’s not what Will meant. Well, maybe it could have been what he meant. But something in his gut was twisting, telling him that this was serious, this was a big deal. Something about Will’s nervous voice coming through the walkie, full of so much weight, something about the darkness and quiet of the night, like he and Will were the only people existing in this moment.

Summary
"“Lucas talks about you all the time. He just forgot to mention that the pictures don't really do you justice.”
Will just laughed, shaking his head, trying to play it cool despite the sudden warmth in his cheeks. “Sure, Mike. I’m sure you tell every person in a five-mile radius whatever they want to hear to keep your guest list full.”
“You're definitely special,” Mike said without missing a beat, leaning his forearm against the counter next to Will, closing the distance between them. “But if you’re worried about my sample size, feel free to ask around. I don't usually look at anyone the way I'm looking at you right now.”
Will raised an eyebrow, letting out a soft huff. “Oh, please. I bet you have that exact script memorized for your pledges during orientation.”
“Ouch. Harsh,” Mike teased, a dimple flashing in his cheek. “I’ll have you know I’m completely improvising. You just happen to be very inspiring.”
“Is that your way of saying you’re out of practice?” Will shot back, a sharp, playful glint in his eye.
Mike let out a low chuckle, clearly loving the pushback. “Far from it."

Summary
"Mike, come on," Will says, his smile still mid-bloom. "You don't think that's a little weird?"
"No," Mike says simply. "Why would that be weird?"
"Because I'm—" Will gestures vaguely to himself. "Gay. And you're…"
Will trails off, stopping himself, as if it just occurred to him that he could be wrong about the way he planned to answer that sentence. Mike isn't sure how he'd answer it either.
High, he thinks. Will is gay and I am high.

Summary
“You’re not Will, are you?”
The sound of crickets filled Mike’s ears as he waited, fidgeting with the ice cream cone in his hand. He felt it melt, drip onto his knuckles.
He finally looked over at Will. The smile he had on his lips faltered, twitching. As if it were a mask.
“I did so well at pretending to be, didn’t I?”

Summary
“Will, what–” Another pained grunt as he redundantly tried to wriggle free. “What are you doing?”
“You embarrassed me tonight, Michael” ... “Disrespecting me like that is never going to go unpunished, you should know that by now,” Will reached out and took a tight hold of Mike’s jaw, leaning in close so that their lips were just brushing, the action drawing a tiny whimper from Mike’s parted lips.
“I am going to touch myself. You are going to watch. I am going to show you how much I want you. I am going to beg for what I want. But I am not going to set you free–” Mike groaned as his muscles tightened even further under Will’s spell– “until you say you’re sorry.”
