Mateo pulls out a soft sweater with the pattern of a mariachi dog playing guitar beneath the text ‘piping hot!’ and presents it to you. “Fitting, righ— ah.” His eyes widen and looks away modestly. The pink on his cheeks turns to deep, flustered red.
You pause midway through stepping out of your skirt and wobble there, embarrassed. Oh. Right.

Summary
Love doesn’t solve everything life has already taken, it all but solidifies the joke that they are a walking failure needing rescuing. What they don’t understand is where things went wrong, if really, they can even lead a normal life with their head steady on their shoulders.
Nothing can be said, even the loudest of screams cannot snap them out of the daze that is produced by their ringing ears— silently, they realize, everything is but naught. The human had known they were born mediocre, and yet everything still hurts as much as if they were still an infant.
or: a multi-chapter interpretation of the objects co-existing with a Player suffering from past abuse and their attempts to all get along in hope of alleviating the pressure on their beloved.
All from the povs of our dateables and generally narrated in third person.

Summary
Suddenly having 100 people living in one house is a bit much for an autistic introvert. You were able to handle it fairly well at first, but it wasn't too long before cracks in your mask started to show. Eventually you had a meltdown in front of some of the dateables, and though you found a place to hide at Scraps of Hope with Mateo, you knew some of the others would have questions.
Or: the adventures of an autistic main character and the different ways the various dateables around the house learn to help them out in their chaotic new living situation.
This is a follow-up to my oneshot, Someplace to Hide. Some chapters will reference back to the oneshot, while others will be standalone snapshots of the main character interacting with the dateables.

For a moment, you stared at the screen, completely confused on how you got fired within minutes. The next, you had a drone deliver you glasses that, apparently, said by some rando on Thiscord, could allow you to see objects as people.

Or... A slightly different take on the MC/Reader, who doesn't wear the glasses until a week after. A touch-starved person can only last so long, though.
