Summary
Clark's noticed some odd behaviour over the years concerning Bruce. Some conversations Bruce would have with thin air. The way his eyes would drift to something that Clark couldn't see. While some part of him hopes it's the meta gene, Clark's not too sure.

Summary
The cowl was little more than shreds held together by aspirations and a prayer. Which shouldn't have been that bad if not for the fact that this was the backup—this was the second cowl to suffer this fate on that day.
Bruce stared at the two halves of the last cowl he had had in storage on the Watchtower in disgruntlement. This would not be an issue if he were in the cave–where he had plenty of replacements. Which didn't help the fact that the cowl in his hands was unsalvageable.

After his cowl breaks in a fight Bruce is forced to attend the debriefing with a domino mask instead. He comes to regret it.

“Okay, diaper, pajamas, then bedtime, yeah?”
Conner gurgles, and Clark kisses him on the cheek again, resisting the urge to blow a raspberry on it- it’ll rile him up too much, make it hard for him to sleep. Instead, he carries him off to his bedroom, and is halfway through zipping up his onesie when his phone rings. He gets it out of his pocket, smiling when he sees Bruce on the caller ID.
“Hey, Bruce-!”
“Jason is gone.”
