Someone used a damp cloth to wipe the sweat from his face and he sobbed with relief at the brief respite from the heat, prompting more hands to appear with more cloth’s, pressing them to any bit of exposed skin they could reach.
The door slammed into the wall, announcing Lord Tywin’s arrival.
“No.”
“I’m sorry, my lord, but all signs point to–”
“No.”
The anger in his father’s voice caused Jaime to curl up in shame, whimpering pathetically as the moment caused the pain in his stomach to increase.
He didn’t understand what was going on…

His hopeless plight is the same as theirs. As he is now, though, he’d be chased right back off. Would anyone even pause long enough to listen to him? If he could tell anyone what’s happened all these years, would they believe him?
