It’s that boy, Xingqiu, the one hanging around (and off of) Chongyun just about every time Shenhe sees him. Usually put-together, from a wealthy and well-off family who trains him in fine mannerisms and artsmanship and every kind of elegance. But he’s scared, now, and he looks at her pleading, hair tousled and filthy and bloody, and he’s clinging to—
Chongyun.
Shenhe might sort of maybe kind of still-figuring-it-out have a soft spot for more than just her nephew.
