"Where are you taking me, man?" Ash grumbled, his hand connecting with Eiji's as they walked down the street. They were both wearing jean cutoffs and oversized t-shirts they had found in Griff's closet, things he must have left behind when he went off to fight in Vietnam.
"Just wait, Ash," as they approached an alleyway, a fence separating the building and alley from a field, and a river on the far side of it. Eiji had decided not to blindfold Ash; he didn't want to make him panic, even if it could spoil the surprise a little bit.
