"A daemon?" they finished for her.
Yeah. That. Shit, she wished she knew more daemon-summoning rules. Which type could only leave the circle after given permission, again? ...It didn't matter what type it was. She just had to banish them and get rid of all the evidence and hope and pray that nobody would figure out what she'd done, if she could just get up.
The bottom of their stilettos clicked against the wooden floors. As they walked closer, she could see the heel was shaped like a shortsword. The toe of their shoe found its place at the apex of her chest, the point barely over the bottom of her sternum. She tried to move, but could barely get herself an inch or so off the ground.
They crouched down to meet her gaze, looking over her like they were appraising goods to barter.
The Lord, they looked even prettier up close.
Susie, a mortal, contends with the angel and the devil bickering on her shoulders… and her college homework.

Summary
In another universe, one of medieval times with dark eldritch horrors lurking just under the surface, Kris is adopted off the street by the Dreemurr family. Their relatively peaceful existence is upended when they are sacrificed to the demon prince, Ralsei, and wind up in the Dark World. With Ralsei guiding them, they set out into a world of strange horrors, befriending great eldritch beasts as they journey. With such monstrosities at their side, they are set on returning to the Light World...and finding retribution.

Summary
Noelle Holiday has everything she could possibly need. Good grades, good friends, she even has time to sing at gigs occasionally. What else could she possibly want?
Or at least... that's what she thinks until she manages to stumble into not one but two people she's trying to vie for the affections of. The only problem is that they're both somehow in relationships already!
Kris doesn't really know who they are. At least their roommate's... fine, and their relationship's going somewhere. They're not quite sure where yet.
Things get a lot more confusing when their childhood best friend suddenly reappears in their life.
Susie is just trying to learn how to be a good partner. She's not really sure if she's any good at it, but she hasn't been broken up with yet so she's taking her wins!
Things have gotten a little more complicated though, since this really cute girl keeps showing up at her work.

Noelle and Kris have known each other forever; they grew up together, Kris pulling pranks that made Noelle shriek only to get chased around by Dess with a wiffle bat in retaliation, playing video games together until Kris inevitably decided to get up and go play the Holiday family's piano...
Then Dess went missing. Kris went quiet. Asriel left for college. Distance grew between friends.
Dess came back. Kris started to smile again. Noelle and Kris reconnected, and together, they survived high school.
College is going to be a new challenge all its own, but at least they're in it together, right?
...Then Noelle meets her new roommate, Susie, and things get a little more complicated.
