I suppose I should begin this description by disclosing to you that my name isn't actually Romy.
Little significance in the grand scheme of things, but if you're visiting my profile, I'll make the assumption that there is at least a piece of you that cares about the individual behind the words. I took the name from an old German actress whose love story with Alain Delon will make you cry. I'm telling you all this because I chose Romy for a reason. There's always been a piece of me that's been a bit ashamed of enjoying fanfiction, but the truth is, as someone who claims themselves to be a writer, I'd be nowhere without it. Fanfiction gave me the space to refine the craft without having to grapple for ideas. As a young writer, it was incredibly helpful. And beyond all of these practical, logical justifications, it simply is fun. I think I'm finally mature enough to begin the process of allowing myself the room to be who I am, and this includes publishing these stories that have been lodged away, hidden on my phone for years. With that being said, I'd still like these to remain mostly private from those I know in real life. This is only the beginning of a release that I hope continues to grow.
My only goal is that you enjoy these stories as much as I have!
