Give Me Love

Summary:

A look into Jang Han Seo’s life and his relationships.

Notes:

Han Seo has been my favorite character since the beginning and I honestly feel so protective of him. This is also set to be read around episode 18!!

Ps- I wrote this in 10 minutes and literally have not looked over it so sorry for grammatical mistakes!! Also sorry that it’s super duper short

Work Text:

Han Seo knew better than to enjoy feeling comfortable. His brother’s stay in jail would last mere days and after that there would be no guarantee of his safety. For now, he would relish in the rare quietness of the penthouse where he and Han Seok spent most of their time. Brothers. The word feels foreign and incorrect. Han Seok was his boss, his hyung-nim, but at the end of the day they were far from brothers.
Then there was Vincenzo. Thinking of him caused a strange feeling to bubble up in Han Seo’s chest. Was it respect? Maybe. Was it Han Seo desperately searching for one person to save him? Absolutely. Even in the beginning when they were on opposite sides, Han Seo couldn’t help but adore Vincenzo’s determination to win. He was so passionate and strong, everything Han Seo wasn’t.
The quietness of the penthouse soon became uncomfortable and the air became suffocating. Getting up from his seat on the couch, Han Seo made his way towards the balcony and headed out into the cool air. It was getting close to summer but being so high up made it feel like early spring. Bringing a cigarette up to his lips and inhaling deep, he tries to push down the gnawing feeling of sadness. If it was a few years ago he would have probably been on the floor of some bathroom dry heaving into a piss stained toilet. If only he was strong enough to be okay by himself. Whether it was the drugs, his brother, or even Vincenzo, Han Seo couldn’t seem to be by himself. He always relied on something. A buzz from his phone is what breaks him out of his trance. Your brother is set to be released in a few days, will you be okay?
Texts from Vincenzo had become more regular, but he hardly ever had checked in with Han Seo. Han Seo sighed as he thought about his reply. To lie or not to lie is the question. In all honesty, he has grown accustomed to Han Seok’s rage but there’s a part of him that knows that this time is different. This time there’s no guarantee that he’ll make it out alive.
   Yes.
Han Seo hits send and heads back inside. This time he’ll be strong. This time he’ll save himself.
