Chapter Text
Harry James Potter was fighting Death Eaters in the Department of Mysteries. While he was dueling Lucius Malfoy, Bellatrix Lestrange sent an unexpected stunner toward him. The red light made contact with Harry before he could dodge. The last they saw of The Boy Who Lived was him falling through The Veil of Death.
Harry woke up to a blinding white light. His eyes immediately snapped shut. Slowly he opened his eyes and took a look at his surroundings. It looked to be a plain white room. Then he noticed someone in the corner who started walking up to him once he noticed them. When he got a better look at the person, it was the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen. The girl looked to be the same age as him and had long blonde hair and eyes that looked like diamonds. The first thought that came to his head was that the girl was a Veela, but immediately dismissed it since he felt no reason to impress her.
“Hello, Harry.” The girl calmly said. She went and sat across from him. “I’m Fate.”
Harry nodded then asked, “Where am I? And how did I get here?”
The girl, Fate ignored his first question but answered the second, “Well you fell into The Veil of Death though it is not your time to die. You will be reborn as your Fathers twin if you choose. But you will still have to fulfill your destiny, which is to kill The Dark Lord. Do you accept?”
Harry nodded. He would be able to meet his Mother and Father, and have a set of real parents.
Fate gave him a sweet smile. “Well that settles it, I will put memories for you and everyone else so it’s like you were there. Don’t worry you will still be able to act the same. Also the last time you saw James is when you were 10 and you got special training, also not able to stay in contact while you were away. You will still be 15 just going into your 5th year since you didn’t have a real teacher for Defence. You will be just going home for the first time in 5 years. So you will meet everyone in Hogwarts and James hasn’t told anyone there about you. Your appearance will stay though just no bruises and cuts, though you will still have your scar and eyes.”
Harry gave another nod. This was all crazy. He couldn’t believe it though he was so excited.
“Now go to sleep, I will give you all the memories and you will wake up to a man named Simon who was your mentor, and he will take you home that same day.”
Harry laid back down, closed his eyes and immediately fell asleep.
Harry watched all the memories, all the birthdays, almost all days, all events, and the day he left. He remembered all the emotions, smell, feel, everything. It was as though he really was there.
Harry's eyes snapped open to see a man, shaking his shoulders. The man had brown hair, blue eyes, and dark skin. Harry immediately knew this was Simon.
“‘Ello Simon.” Harry said getting up. Simon smiled at him.
“Good Morning Harry, how do you feel?”
Harry gave Simon a sad smile. “Great, I’m going home. I’ll miss you though.”
“Well kiddo, I’m not gonna be training people anymore.” Harry gave him a confused look, “I’m done, meaning that we can write letters since I won’t be here anymore.” Simon smiled at him, when he saw Harry’s sad smile turn into a real genuine smile. “Now get dressed and ready, we'll be leaving in an hour, drive in the muggle cars we have out of the apparating wards. Then apparate you home.”
Harry got out of bed quickly to get ready.
After a few hours of driving they past the apparating wards, Harry gave Simon a hug, knowing he wouldn’t see him for a while.
“Ready?”
“More than I’ll ever be.” Harry said, gripping Simon's arm.
Next thing Harry knew was he was standing at the front door of the home he hasn’t been to in five years. Once he looked next to him, he noticed Simon wasn’t there, meaning he’s already apparated back.
Harry took a deep breath. He knew his parents knew that he was coming back but knew it was a surprise for James.
He knocked, waited for about 30 seconds then opened the door. He walked in, looked up and saw James walk into the room. Once James noticed Harry, his mouth dropped open.
“Har?” James asked in a whisper.
“Hey,” answered Harry.
Just a second later they were in a hug. James was crying into his shoulder, gripping him as though he was going to disappear.
Fleamont and Euphemia walked in looking at their two sons, one they haven’t seen the last 5 years.
Once they finally broke apart, Harry was pulled into a hug from his mother. Her and His Dad were crying. And when they broke apart, Harry was pulled into one from his Father.
When they let go, Harry was back in James’ arms.
“Never leave again.” James demanded.
Harry only nodded, giving a watery laugh.
Once everyone settled down they were catching up on everything.
“So, are you gonna go to Hogwarts with me? Now that you're home for good.” James asked eagerly.
Both Harry and James looked at their parents who simply nodded.
