“Mwohae…”
Yeaji asked. They had just taken few breaks from filming the epilogue back story of Bluebeard as she saw Soohyun sitting, scrolling through his phone with his still hunchback costume. Averting his eyes up to her before going back to his original thing. “I’m organizing some possible photos I’ll post once this Bluebeard episode airs.” He replied, while she nodded.
“Ah, keurae…” sipping to her ice Americano as she wanders her eyes to the busy crew, sorting out some equipment for the next scenes.
“Keundae…”
Just when Soohyun speak up once again, bringing her head back to face him. “Oh?” she answered. Welcomed by the sheepish smile of his leading man. “Can I include this, though?” making her look at the specific image from his gallery.
Instantly, her advances work on its own as she eyed him with a knowing gaze. How cannot she react indeed if the request he ask was a picture of them? Taken by one of their staff from the scene where Esmeralda’s head together with the rest of Bluebeard’s wife placed on a partition. One with her tilting quirky smile while the other’s serious, together with his complementing pose behind her. She was alarmed.
“Okay, no. Just post my solo as a hunchback then.”
He understands. Only by looking through her eyes, he knew he needed to be considerate. It’s not that she doesn’t want to either. She loved to, but she’s been through a lot. Being on a limelight means a lot of attention from the public eyes. Difficulties of their reality that should be kept to avoid the cruelty that surrounds them.
The very reason she had to shut her own social media even if it means not being able to communicate through her fans. Of course, she misses them. Thus she still tried to make ways to get back to them every now and then by her fan cafe. But that’s it. She chose privacy for the sake of her well-being.
It has been years ago since her last relationship, the noxious one she long forgotten. And then Soohyun happened. A new found attraction she wanted to cherish until forever. They still at their early stage of their relationship yet even so, it feels like she had known him for years. For he is a keeper, she doesn’t want to let go.
Looking her perplexed expression, he had to butt in. “Tak hanbeonman.” Trying to lift her up with his inside antics. Lucky it did. Her smile came back just how he wanted it to be. “Tss, silly.” She retorted. “I’m serious here? Come on Yeaji-ya, oh?” his persistent-like plead.
“Yah. Stop it will you?” poking his stomach as she was answered by his chuckles, “Okay, okay. Hmp… Fine, no more then.” by turning into puppy-like surrender.
Now how can she reject him then! Over the short time they spend together, this bubbly Soohyun in front her is definitely her weakness. Sighing, she gave in.
“Fine. I’ll let you.”
“Yes!” his success chime.
“Just not that.”
“Eh?”
Crossing her arms, she clarified. “I let you post something with me but just not that picture of us.”
“What do you mean?”
“Munyeong and Gangtae has a scene of taking picture together on their first date right? Use that.”
Instantly, Soohyun’s expression light up by the thought. “Jinjja? Don’t take it back…” for he even makes sure, she won’t take her words back. “Tss. Oh…” giving him a short response of assurance. “Yes! As Moon Gangtae and Ko Munyeong then.”
Giving a peck on her cheek as he said, “Thank you…” before extending his hands as he stood up. “Kaja?” she didn’t accept it but pinching his nose instead. “Stop it, Mr. Kim. We’re on public.” Starting her way back to their filming set. “Later?” as he follows, for she can only shake her head with her lover.
“Whatever you, dork.”
Right, she doesn’t want to risk. But guess, risking just once isn’t bad as it seems for there he was, noting the words of his dear Esmeralda.
