Roland rested his head on Yesod’s shoulder, wrapping his arms around his waist.
“You’ve been working for so long, can you take a break?” He whispers.
Yesod didn’t look up from his desk, his grip rather tight on his pen. He grumbled, “There’s a lot to be done.”
“Please? I have something for you if you take a break!”
“I don’t need your gifts.”
“C’mooon…for me? I’m not gonna leave you alone.”
Yesod sighed. “I suppose I can take a short break.” He put down the pen and stretched back in his chair, placing a hand on one of Roland’s.
Roland gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Thank you~” Yesod blushed a little, leaning more into his touch.
"I'm curious about what you wanted to give me."
Roland smirked. "I thought you didn't need my gifts."
"...I'm just curious."
"I wanted to keep it a surprise. Sounds to me like you want it."
Yesod only let out a huff in response, causing Roland to chuckle.
"I left it on one of the shelves nearby if you wanna see it."
"...I suppose." Roland let go and gave him another kiss before heading towards the shelf. He quickly returned with the gift and playfully wrapped it around Yesod's neck like a scarf.
"A plushie?" It was a very long purple snake plush, around 5 meters. Yesod took the head in his hands and looked at it. There was a forked tongue sticking out of its mouth.
"Yep! Reminded me of you, I couldn't help but get it. Do you like it?"
Yesod paused, his face flushed.
"Y-Yes, thank you..." He muttered. "I should get back to work now."
Roland sighed. "Fiiine. Just don't overwork yourself."

The sun had set. Roland still hadn't heard anything from Yesod, so he decided to go check on him.
When he made his way up to Technological Sciences, he was met with the sight of a sleeping Yesod's face laid on an open book...with the snake wrapped around his entire body. Roland didn't like that he overworked himself, but at the same time...Yesod clearly liked the gift more than he let on. Roland smiled to himself and carefully picked Yesod up bridal style, carrying him to his room.
He gently set Yesod on the bed, the snake still wrapped around him, and pulled a blanket over him. Roland planted a soft kiss on his forehead.
"Goodnight...I love you."
