Work Text:
Liv fought not to cry as she walked out of her daughter's hospital room. Darcie had finally fallen asleep, and Liv thought it was a good time to take a small break. She went down to the break room and grabbed a bag of chips and yet another coffee, sighing to herself. Ever since Darcie had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, Liv had been running herself ragged. It was taking a toll on her, keeping the six year old in good spirits and not really sleeping at night because of the pit in her stomach, but she was doing the best she could. The most important part was trying to keep Darcie in good spirits, but it wasn't easy considering the fact that she was tired all the time, was fighting a temperature most of the time and felt like general crap. But Liv was doing her best.
She got stopped just outside of her daughter's room by her daughter's doctor, who squeezed her arm sympathetically. "How are you doing?"
"I could be better." She admitted. "I just...want to help my kid, you know?"
"I understand and I think I have some good news for you." The doctor said. "We've been looking over the latest round of tests, and we think that we need to go the route of a bone marrow transplant, we think that will be the best route to take to fight this."
"What do I need to do?" Liv asked, clutching her chips to her.
"We need to test you to see if you're a match." She explained. "And you need to get everyone you know that is related to Darcie to get tested as well."
Liv cringed internally. "It's...um...ok. I don't have any immediate family, but I'll...reach out. Should I go now to get tested?"
"Yes, you eat your snack and I'll set it up." She said. She patted Liv on the arm and walked off, while Liv went in and quietly ate while watching a Loud House episode on mute on Nickelodeon.
Liv went for the test, leaving Darcie with her favorite nurse for a few minutes for the nurse to do a few things to Darcie's IV while she did, and was relieved that it wasn't too bad. She was in and out back in the room very quickly and only had to wait about an hour before the doctor came back to discuss the results. By the look on her face, Liv knew that she wasn't a match and her stomach dropped as the doctor confirmed it. She asked if Liv could think of anyone else to be tested and although she didn't want to admit it, since her daughter's life was on the line, she had no choice.
"I'll get in touch with them, it'll be a few days." She said.
"That's fine." The doctor promised, patting her arm. "Just let us know when you can get them here."
Liv sat there after the doctor had left, watching Darcie's face as she watched something or other on tv. She had an apple in front of her and was munching on slices slowly, and Liv was just glad she was eating something because her appetite had been terrible lately. She cleared her throat and leaned up, kissing Darcie's head. "Baby, I'm going to go make a phone call right quick, ok? I won't be too long, but if you need something call for the nurse, ok?"
"Ok, mama." She said, flashing her a tired smile. She'd been sleeping all day, but all of the stuff she was put through just kept her tired all the time and Liv just wanted her bright, funny, energetic child back.
Liv walked out of the room and made her way out to the small waiting area that almost no one used and sat down, scrolling through her contacts until she found the one she was looking for. As a real estate agent, she had a lot of contacts and had made a lot of friends through the years and knew some of them wouldn't mind doing her a favor or two, especially after she'd had to take some time off because of Darcie's cancer. She brought up the contact she was looking for and pressed the call button.
"Laurie, hi..." She said, when the woman answered. She'd sold Laurie Curtis a home a few years before and they'd kept in touch. She was a private investigator and had always told Liv that if she needed her services to let her know. She told Laurie all about what was going on and how she needed to get in touch with some guys. "I'm not proud of it, but I never really knew who Darcie's father was. I was casually seeing a few guys back then, really any of them could be him, but I don't know. Could you..."
"You give me their names and what you can about them and leave the rest to me, I'll find them." She promised and Liv smiled to herself at the sureity in the woman's voice. She told her the four names and what she could about the men and when Laurie told her she'd get right on it, she felt relieved as she flicked her phone off. She sat there and took a few breaths before heading back to Darcie's room, seeing a nurse helping her change her hospital gown and a pile of linens on the floor by the bed.
"I f'ew up." Darcie mumbled when she saw her, looking miserable.
"Oh, baby..." Liv cooed, making a face as she went over to help the nurse change everything.
After about four days, Liv was starting to lose some hope. She knew she should've given Laurie some more time, but she wasn't sure that Darcie even had the time. She didn't seem to be any worse, but she wasn't getting any better either and Liv just felt miserable all the time as she constantly had the thought of 'please God, don't take my baby away from me' going through her head, distracting her from a lot of things throughout her day.
She was coming back from the bathroom when her phone vibrated in her pocket and she took a detour to the same waiting area and sat down, seeing Laurie's name on the screen when she looked at her phone. "Laurie..."
"I found them." She blurted out.
"You did? Already?" Liv asked, her eyes widening behind her glasses. "Boy that was quick!" She said, even though not long before that she'd been thinking the opposite.
"I knew we needed to work quick." Laurie said, as if it was just an inevitable thing. The care the woman was showing her, how she put importance on doing this, made Liv tear up. "Anyway, I contacted them and I didn't say much, but I gave them all your contact information. All four of the guys remember you, I guess you made a big impression on them, and they all promised they'd get in touch with you as soon as possible.
"Thank you so much, Laurie, you have no idea how much I appreciate this." She blurted out, her heart hammering in her chest.
"Of course, sweetheart. Give that baby a kiss for me, ok, and let me know if you need anything else." They said their goodbyes and Liv ended the call, feeling like she could breathe for the first time in a long time.
The day passed mundanely, nothing much happening. Darcie had her medicine, and Liv watched Princess and the Frog with her for the nineteenth time that week and then Darcie fell asleep, curled around her favorite stuffed animal, an Umbreon from Pokemon that Liv had gotten her from Build-A-Bear. It was wearing purple pajamas that had Pokeballs all over them, because it was night time (Umbreon had a daytime outfit, a red robe). Liv, of course, had to change it out of the outfits every day, but she didn't mind. She was watching Darcie sleep, the rise and fall of her chest, half-paying attention to the old Golden Girls episode playing on the tv when her phone vibrated against her thigh. She startled and almost let out a shriek, but she held it back.
Getting up, she went out to the nurse's desk, which was right across the hall from Darcie's room, and asked the nurse there to keep an eye on Darcie and Liv went and sat down, looking at the number on the caller ID. She didn't recognize it, and she knew what that meant. She took a deep breath and accepted the call. "Hello."
"Well it's been a long time since I've heard that voice." A very deep, amused, almost hypnotic voice came across the speaker.
"Kevin." She said quietly. She figured he would be the first to contact her. He was always the type to just get something done instead of procrastinating the whole time. Darcie was like that a lot of the time, just wanting to get something done instead of obsessing over it.
"It's been a long time, Liz." He said, breaking her out of her thoughts.
"Yeah, almost 7 years, actually." She fidgeted with the edge of the sweater she had on. The medication they had Darcie on kept her warm all the time and Liv tended to freeze in the hospital room. "How you been?"
"We both know you didn't get a PI to contact me just to ask how I've been." He pointed out and Liv winced.
"No." She took a deep breath. "This is...this is really hard to say. I guess I should've...you might have a kid."
"What?" He asked, and if Liv wasn't so upset, she would've giggled at the shocked tone to his voice. It was really hard to take Kevin off guard.
"Yeah, uh...you know how we had that casual thing before we lost touch?" She asked. "Well, just after I left I found out I was pregnant."
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked quietly.
"Because I didn't know!" She blurted out. "I didn't know. You weren't the only guy I was seeing back then. It's not like I'm proud of it. I don't regret it, because I got my daughter out of it."
"So if you went 7 years without saying anything, why are you now?" Kevin asked and Liv squirmed at the tone. Kevin was a huge guy. He had been when they had their thing, and she had to believe he still was. But the thing was, he wasn't a violent person. He burned quietly until he exploded, but he had never hurt Liv, and she knew he never would. But he tended to be an intense, serious person and even over the phone the tone in his voice made her squirm.
"Because she's sick." She said quietly. "She's got cancer and needs a bone marrow transplant and I'm desperate, ok! I don't...I have to find a match, because of course I'm not one..."
"I'll be there." He cut her off.
"What?" She asked.
"I'll be there tomorrow." He said. "The PI said you lived in South Beach?"
"Yeah." She said quietly. "We're at Holtz Children's."
"I'll be there." He promised. "I'll get tested and...can we meet after?"
"Just let me know when you're here." She said.
"I will." He ended the call, which made her smile. He always said he hated goodbyes and never said it to her, especially over the phone.
She was about to get up when her cell vibrated again. Again, she didn't recognize the number, so she knew probably who it was, or at least who it could be. "Hello."
"Liv." Another deep voice answered and Liv closed her eyes.
"Dom." She said quietly.
"Hey...I have to say, I didn't believe it when Mrs. Curtis told me you needed to talk to me." He admitted.
"To be honest, I wouldn't have if I didn't absolutely need to." Liv pushed a piece of hair behind her ear. She winced as she realized just how her words could be construed and went on. "Promise to hear me out before you get mad?"
The other end was silent for a long moment before Dominik spoke again. "Alright. Say what you need to say. You're sort of scaring me."
"When I left all those years ago, soon after, I found out I was pregnant." She explained. She waited a second to see if Dominik would say anything, but he didn't. "You weren't the only guy I was seeing at the time, I know you know that, and I didn't know what to do...so I've been raising Darcie by myself all these years. I know it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, and now it's biting me in the ass..."
"Liv." He said quietly.
"She's sick, Dom." She said, feeling wrung out and exposed. Tears flooded her eyes as she looked out over the street lights in the otherwise dark city. "She has acute myleoid leukemia. She needs a bone marrow transplant and I'm not a match. I have to save my baby, Dom, I...I can't lose her."
"Shhh, calm down, Livvie." He said quietly, sounding as calm as ever, which irritated her as much as it calmed her down. "Calm down. I'm not mad. I...really, I can understand. I'll come, I have to get some time off, but I'll be there day after tomorrow...tomorrow...shit what time is it?"
Liv laughed at that. "Really, I don't even know."
"Well I'll be there as soon as I can get the time off." Dominik promised. "Just give me a little time."
"Thank you." She said quietly.
"Don't thank me, I'd do anything for you." He said, and before Liv can react, he hung up the phone.
"What is with these guys and not saying goodbye?" She muttered to herself, going back to the room after wiping the evidence of her tears from her face.
The next day, Liv was startled out of her thoughts watching Spider-Man: No Way Home with Darcie (yes she was very young, but she loved Spider-Man) by her phone chirping with a message. She looked and saw that it was Kevin, saying that he was there and about to be tested. She took a deep breath and glanced over at her daughter before replying. 'Let me know when you're finished.'
Liv leaned over and kissed Darcie's forehead. "Mama's going to go to walk around for a second, baby, I'll be right back. I'll get Nurse Christie to watch over you."
"Ok, mama." She said quietly, and Liv figured she'd be asleep soon.
She walked out of the room and nodded to the nurse at the desk before making her way down to where the testing would be. She felt nervous, her hands clammy, as she sat down in the waiting room. Looking around, she didn't see Kevin there, so she figured that he was already back being tested.
What was she going to say when she saw him?
Was it a mistake coming down here?
No, she needed to do it. She should've contacted him and the other guys when she found out she was pregnant instead of letting it go on for so long.
Now she had no idea how any of them would react, but she had to face it head on.
Breaking out of her thoughts, Liv saw Kevin come out from the back. He looked...bigger than she remembered, and it made her squirm in her seat. He was wearing a plain blue t-shirt under a black fleece jacket with a pair of jeans and had grown his hair out on the top, although he kept the sides shaved. He said thank you quietly to the nurse who showed him out and Liv watched him as he walked through the waiting room area. He was about to turn toward the exit, but he must've seen her out of the corner of his eye, because he turned to face her, his chocolate colored eyes piercing through her, making her hold in a shriek, embarrassingly.
What was wrong with her?
"Liv." He said quietly, looking a bit shocked that she was sitting there.
"Hi." She said just as quietly.
Kevin sat down beside her, and slipped his jacket off. Liv looked over the tattoo sleeve on his arm, not really knowing what to say at first. She got a small whiff of his cologne, and was surprised to know that he smelled the same as before and it made a wave of nostalgia hit her.
"You grew out your hair." She blurted out.
"Really?" He raised an eyebrow at her, looking slightly amused. "Yes, yes, I did."
"Sorry." She said quietly. "For...a lot of things, really."
"Why did you leave?" He asked, ripping the band-aid right off. Liv winced as if he'd actually ripped a band-aid off of her.
Liv rubbed her arm, squirming in her seat. "It..."
"I know you were dating other guys." He cut her off. "I never minded about that."
"I left because...because I couldn't choose between you." She admitted, glancing around the waiting room. There was only a couple people there, but she felt exposed. "Ugh, come on." Without waiting for him to reply, she led him to the waiting room she used all the time, knowing that most likely it would be empty. Sure enough, it was and she sighed in relief as she sat down. "I knew it couldn't go on forever like it was, and eventually I'd have to choose, and...and I just couldn't."
"Were the others asking you to choose?" Kevin asked, settling beside her.
"No." She admitted. "But I knew eventually..."
"I wouldn't have." He said.
"Sure, not then." She said. "But what if we got...you know...closer."
"Liv, as long as we were happy, and everything was consensual, I wouldn't have cared." He said. "We knew the stakes of everything, no one was cheating...as far as what most people think the definition of cheating is...so, I don't see why it couldn't have just stayed the way it was."
"Thanks for making me feel like shit even more than I already do." Liv reached up and wiped a tear under her glasses.
"I'm not trying to make you feel like shit, Liv." Kevin put his hand on her knee, squeezing gently. "But you just...didn't give any of us any choice, you just up and left. It took me a really long time to get over that."
"It did?" Liv peeked up at his face and saw the sincerity there.
"Yeah, I spent a lot of time in my shifter form." He spoke openly since it was just the two of them there. "I went to my job and then just...let the manatee take over. Thank God I live out away from most people."
"And that you live somewhere where manatees aren't weird to see." She joked.
"That, too." Kevin agreed, chuckling. "I finally got over it, but..."
"You got over me?" Liv asked quietly.
"I got over the pain of you leaving." Kevin corrected. "Mostly because I convinced myself that you were happy and that you left for a reason. I have to admit, though, that a part of things was that I looked internally, wondering if it was something I said or did or wasn't saying or doing..."
"It wasn't!" Liv grabbed his arm tightly. "It...it wasn't. Either you, or any of the other guys. It was me. I just...I couldn't..."
"Calm down." Kevin squeezed her knee. "I didn't say that to make you feel bad. It's just...how I felt. I understand it more now, but back then it really messed me up."
"I'm sorry." Liv said quietly.
"Let's just..." Kevin trailed off. "Let's put it behind us and move forward."
"I'd like that." Liv said. She smiled softly at him. "Would you..." She was cut off by the sound of her phone chirping and she glanced at the ID, wincing. "Can you..."
"I'll go get something to eat." Kevin said, standing up. "I didn't get breakfast, too nervous for today."
Liv watched him go, thankful that he was giving her a moment, and she accepted the call. "Hello."
"Well that's a voice I've not heard in a long time." A very familiar Scottish brogue came over the line and Liv chewed on her lip.
"Hi, Drew." She said, turning to stare out the window. It was grey and damp outside and it made her feel a little miserable.
"I'm here, too, lass." Another voice said and Liv's eyes widened.
"Oh, Sheamus, hey...I didn't know you'd be together." She said, trying to steady her voice.
"We live together, you knew we were best friends." Sheamus pointed out, sounding amused.
"Yeah, I guess deep down I remember." Liv said, fiddling with her sleeve, staring down at the floor.
"So what did you want to say to us?" Drew asked, and if he wasn't Scottish, it probably would've come out less harsh sounding. As it was, Liv flinched.
"Ok so, this will be a lot easier if you just let me talk first." Liv said, leaning against the wall.
"Alright, go on." Sheamus said quietly.
Liv took a deep breath and began her story. She started from the moment she left the guys, which was painful enough to talk about how she didn't want to choose between any of them to finding out she was pregnant (she was sure she heard both men gasp at that and she winced) then she told them that Darcie had cancer and needed a bone marrow transplant and finished with, "...and I'm not a match so...I need to find the match."
"Because you don't know who her father could be." Drew said, and Liv knew he was just being blunt, not judgmental. What was it with her and men who liked to be blunt?
"No. I mean...I can't tell by looking at her either, she's blonde and has blue eyes." Liv admitted.
"Where are you again?" Sheamus asked.
"Holtz Children's in South Beach." Liv said, playing with a strand of her hair.
"We'll be there in a few hours." Drew promised. "We're coming from Nashville."
Liv couldn't help but laugh. "That's like 14 hours. More if you stop to rest."
"There's two of us, we'll make it." Sheamus said, sounding more serious than she'd ever heard him. "We'll be there 14 hours from now."
"Ok." Liv said quietly.
"It's going to be ok, Liv." He said. "I know it."
"I'll take your word for it." She sighed. She said her goodbyes to both men and ended the call, holding her phone down by her side as she thunked her head against the wall. She would say that she regretted ever getting with four guys at the same time, but it gave her Darcie, so she couldn't. But this was a big mess and she could do without it.
"I'd say that went ok." Liv let out a shriek and turned, seeing Kevin there staring at her. "I mean, you aren't in tears and they're on their way..."
"Yeah, well, I still feel wrung out." Liv muttered, sighing loudly.
Kevin stared at her and then grabbed her hand, gently pulling her back to the waiting room. He sat down in the chair he'd been in before and pulled her on his lap. "Have you even processed any of this?"
"How can I? I'm too busy taking care of my kid." Liv pointed out, sinking into him unconsciously, a very familiar gesture. She always loved sitting on the men's laps. They were all at least a foot taller than her, and it made her feel comforted and taken care of. It was nice.
"You know, it's always ok to take a moment for yourself." He said quietly, rubbing her back.
"I don't know if I can." She said quietly, already feeling the tears coming. "I feel like I've already been away too much."
"Come here." He gently pulled her head to rest on his shoulder, pulling her glasses off of her face, holding them carefully in his hand. She closed her eyes and took in his fresh, comforting scent, which blocked the sterile smell of the hospital, and the feel of his arms wrapped around her soothed Liv more than she had been since all of this started. She didn't want to, but she felt the tears start and she wound up crying into Kevin's neck as he rubbed her back soothingly, murmuring nonsense to her as she let out all of her emotions. She didn't expect to let go like this, but she had to admit, it felt good to just succumb to her emotions. Keeping them locked in was starting to be a burden on her, and as she cried, she felt a lot lighter.
Liv cried for what felt like a long time, and when she got herself under control, she realized that she felt a lot better. She pulled back, flushed from the crying and embarrassment and wiped at her face. "I should probably get back to Darcie." She said quietly.
Kevin nodded. "I understand. I got an AirBnB close by, so if you need anything, just call or text. I can be here in like 20 minutes."
"Thank you, Kevin." She said. "I appreciate all this."
"Anything for you." He said, kissing her forehead. He got up and let her go, wandering out of the room. Liv watched him go, ignoring the part of her that wanted to call him back. She couldn't, not yet.
She started to go back to the room, but Dominik texted her and told her he was about to go in and get tested. She chewed on her lip and walked back to the room, peeking a head in. She saw Darcie napping and blew out a breath, texting Dominik back. 'Come to the cafeteria on the second floor once you're done.' She put her phone in her pocket and went down there, getting an overly soggy looking Reuben sandwich and a Pepsi, sitting at a table off to the side, but in view of the entrance to the room. She picked at the sandwich more than she ate anything, watching the entrance.
It took about 20 minutes, but finally Dominik walked in. He was dressed in a plain blue henley and a pair of faded jeans. His blonde hair was haphazardly styled and he looked like he hadn't slept.
Join the club.
He looked up and saw her there, making his way over to the table. He bent and grabbed her up, hugging her tightly. She fought not to cry again, but she found it hard as she was enfolded in his familiar embrace. She knew she shouldn't feel this way, but she felt vulnerable, exposed and raw and just wanted to take advantage of it for as long as she could.
"I'd ask how you are, but I think that's a dumb question." Dominik said quietly and Liv blurted out a laugh. He let go of her and sat across from her. He looked at the sandwich in front of her and raised an eyebrow. "You hate reubens."
"I do." She agreed.
He gave her an exasperatedly fond look and got up, going and grabbing her a macaroni salad, a ham and cheese sandwich and a side salad. He put it in front of her and pulled the reuben in front of himself.
"I don't know if I can eat all of this." She said, shaking her head as she looked the food over.
"Try." Dominik said, giving her a look. "If I know you like I know I know you, you've not been eating very well..."
"Yeah, well, grief will do that to you." Liv muttered.
Dominik grabbed her hand, gently squeezing it. "Try." He said gently, softly. "If not for you, for Darcie. She needs you to be in full form."
Liv sighed quietly and unwrapped the sandwich, taking a bite out of it. Her stomach groaned loudly and she realized she was more hungry than she thought, digging in a little more enthusiastically.
"Tell me about her." Dominik said, as he ate the reuben.
Liv smiled, despite herself and leaned back in her chair. "She's...oh she's incredible. She's almost exactly like I was as a kid, you know, excited about life, a lot of energy..."
"That's like you now." Dominik teased. Liv lightly kicked him under the table.
"Shut up." She said, giggling. "She's very sporty. I've not put her on any teams, but she loves kicking around a soccer ball, she has a little basketball net set up back home. She loves animals and has been begging me to get a pet ever since she could learn to talk." She reached up to wipe at her face as a few tears leaked out. "I told her that once she got through all of this crap I'd get her a puppy."
"That sounds nice." He said quietly, nudging his foot against hers.
"She's great." She said. "I...I've been debtating about introducing all of you to her."
"Really?" He asked, a bit shocked at that.
"I just...I want to know that you'll stay." She said. "I don't want to introduce you and then her be disappointed..."
"I'd stay." Dominik said quietly. "I'd...if you asked. I never wanted to be away from you."
"I don't deserve any of you." Liv sniffled.
"We all have made some mistakes." Dominik said quietly. "That doesn't mean we should be defined by them."
"How can I not feel that way?" Liv asked, sighing. "It feels like life's punishing me for something."
"If life was easy, it wouldn't be worth living." Dominik pointed out. "Our obstacles are what make us appreciate the good times."
"You sound like Instagram." Liv muttered, but she smiled. Dominik laughed.
"But at least you know what I mean." He said.
"Yeah, I know what you mean." She promised. "Thank you."
"I didn't do anything." He pointed out.
"You did a lot." She disagreed.
After Dominik left (he was going to crash with Kevin apparently, she was not going to think about that), Liv had a lot to think about. Dominik said he would stick around if Liv introduced him to Darcie, and instinctively she knew that about the other three men as well. It was a hard decision to make, especially now with Darcie being sick. Selfishly, she knew if she introduced them to her, she could maybe go home and get a nap in, do a load of clothes herself instead of getting them sent out, and just...de-stress for a little while. But she didn't want to put that on them really. Plus she wasn't sure if Darcie would appreciate it. It had been the two of them against the world since Darcie was born and that was a lot to put on a 7 year old child.
Liv thought about it as she went back to sit with Darcie, and through her going for more rounds of tests. They used to scare Darcie, and Liv's heart broke every time her daughter was led off out of the room crying and screaming for her, but eventually Darcie realized she didn't have to be afraid most of the time and she'd tell Liv goodbye as she was led off.
Honestly, Liv wasn't sure which was worse.
While she was gone, Liv got a text from Drew and she groaned when she saw that it said that he and Sheamus were about to be tested. She chewed on her lip, not wanting to be away when Darcie got back, but knowing the testing probably would tire her out anyway. She told herself that she would just pop out for a few minutes, and she went back to the now almost familiar waiting room. Both men were sitting there filling out clipboards of information and she took a breath before both sets of eyes, one dark blue, one light blue, looked up at her and pinned her with their gazes.
Liv steeled herself and plopped down in a chair in front of them, shifting her feet a little in an effort not to squirm.
Drew...he looked a lot different than he had when she last saw him. He'd had a little bit of baby in his face still and his beard had been light at best. Now he was all man and had a full, thick beard that just made him look sexier...that and about ten to fifteen pounds of muscle helped with that as well.
Sheamus looked pretty much the same, except he'd grown his hair out from the tall mohawk he'd had at that point, no longer twisting his beard into weird shapes he beaded.
Both men looked...really good and Liv fought not to sigh.
"How are you, Liv?" Drew asked, breaking the tense silence.
Liv blurted out a laugh at that. "You know, I don't think I've been asked that more than the last couple of days." She admitted, wryly. "I...I guess I could be worse, except, you know, the whole kid being sick with cancer thing."
As one, Drew and Sheamus sat on either side of her and Liv found herself calming down, rather than tensing up and she silently cursed herself for it. Sheamus wrapped his arm around her shoulders and Drew grabbed her hand and squeezed it. It was weird that they were both her ex and they were...almost working together. She tried not to think about that.
"How is she?" Sheamus asked quietly.
"As good as she can be." Liv said, staring at a spot on the floor. "She has her good days and bad days, she's out for tests right now."
Drew took their information up to the desk and sat back down. "That's...they think this will work, right?"
"That's what I was told...that is if anyone's a match." Liv said, fiddling with her fingers. "I'm not sure what all it'll entail, but yeah that's the hope. It's my hope."
"It's ours, too." Sheamus promised, squeezing her shoulder.
"So are you two going to be staying with Kevin and Dominik while you're in town?" Liv blurted out, immediately wincing when she realized what she asked.
Drew smiled at her. "It only makes sense."
"So all four of my exes get along...great." She cracked.
"We've been close for probably longer than you realize." Sheamus said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Liv asked, eyeing him.
Before he could answer, Sheamus got called back and he flashed her a roguish smile as he got up and wandered back. She eyed him and then turned to look at Drew, who wrapped his arm around her shoulders and huffed out a laugh.
"We knew of each other when you were dating all of us." He explained. "After you left, we sort of leaned on each other...went around in our shifter forms a bit."
"Where could you go where a manatee, a coyote, a reindeer and a badger wouldn't seem strange together?" Liv snorted.
Drew shrugged and Liv could tell just how much bigger he was than before and it made her shiver a bit. Drew misinterpreted it and hugged her closer. "We made due and found some places." He explained. "We don't exactly flaunt it to the world, you know."
"Ok, point." Liv chuckled. "That's one more thing I'm going to have to explain to Darcie if I introduce you."
"She's not shown any..." Drew trailed off as Liv shook her head.
"Not yet." She said. "I know there's only a half chance, since I'm not a shifter myself, but I keep an eye out for it. I don't know what I'll do if she does turn out to be one. What would she even be?"
"I'm picturing that little white, sassy kitten from Aristocats." Drew laughed when Liv elbowed him.
"You...probably aren't far from being right." Liv said, and Drew laughed again.
Sheamus came back then and sat down, looking past Liv to Drew. "Tag." He quipped, smirking when the nurse called his name.
"So, I was talking with Dominik earlier." Liv said, and Sheamus raised his eyebrows. "About Darcie...about introducing...well it depends on..."
"I'd like to be in her life." Sheamus said honestly. "And yours. Even if it turns out I'm not...I'd still like to be around."
"You don't even know her, she could drive you crazy." Liv pointed out.
Sheamus snorted. "Why do you always go to the worst possible scenario?"
Liv shrugged. "I've always been pessimistic, I was pessimistic on my first day of kindergarten. My mom asked me how it went when I got home and I said 'well it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be'."
"I won't speak for Drew, but he feels the same way." Sheamus said, kissing her temple. It was an intimate gesture that made her stomach flutter.
"So what, you're all just going to share me?" Liv asked.
Sheamus shrugged. "If that's what you wanted. If you wanted just one of..."
"The whole reason I got into this mess is because I couldn't choose between you." Liv pointed out.
Sheamus chuckled. "No one's making you." He said. "I'm just saying..."
"So you all four just talked about this between yourselves?" She asked.
He shrugged. "Doesn't that make it less messy?"
"Why are guys so..." She gestured.
"Uncomplicated?" He smirked. "Because it doesn't have to be."
"Why do I feel like it is?" Liv asked quietly.
"Because you're overthinking it." Sheamus pointed out.
Liv snorted. "Yeah, I tend to do that."
Sheamus eyed her. "Can I offer some advice?"
"I wish you would." Liv said immediately.
Sheamus hugged her to him and she went willingly. "Talk to Darcie. Yes she's young, but if she's anything like you, then she's incredibly smart. Just explain to her about us in a way you think she can handle, explain that we all love her and care about her and ask if she would want to meet us. We can do it any way she's comfortable with, all at once, one at a time..."
"You love her?" Liv asked, looking up at him, wide eyed.
"As soon as I found out about her." Sheamus said honestly. "I know Drew feels the same."
"He does?" She asked.
"I do." Liv shrieked softly and turned around as Drew sat down on the other side of her again. He smiled, amused, and bumped his shoulder into hers. "I loved her as soon as I found out."
"I told Liv she should explain things to Darcie and maybe let her decide what she wants to do when it comes to us." Sheamus explained.
Drew nodded. "I think that's a good bet."
"That's what I'll do." Liv said, sliding her feet on the floor a few times in a nervous gesture. "I'll talk to her tonight. She's always more calm and relaxed at night."
"Let us know how it goes." Drew said, squeezing her hand.
Later that night, when Darcie had been settled in with her dinner, watching The One and Only Ivan (they'd seen it a few times, it was one of Darcie's comfort movies) when Liv finally decided to broach the subject. "Hey, peanut?"
"Yeah, mommy?" Darcie looked over at her, grasping a chicken finger in her tiny little fist, about to dip it into a pile of ketchup on her plate (she'd conned the dietary people into giving her extra as incentive to get her to eat).
"I have something I wanted to talk to you about." Liv moved to sit on the side of the bed, stroking a hand gently over her dark blonde locks. "Do you know how it's been just you and me ever since you were born? How you once asked me why Andy and Elena, and Frank and Karen had a mommy and a daddy and it was just a mommy with you?"
"Uh huh." Darcie dipped her chicken nugget in the ketchup and took a bite out of it. Liv was enthused at the fact that she was actually hungry.
"Well, I told you that it was because it was supposed to be just you and me together." She explained. "But the truth is...the truth is I never knew who your daddy was."
"Why not?" Darcie asked.
"Because...well...the truth is it could be a couple of guys." Liv said, struggling to put it in a way she'd understand. "I didn't just have one guy in my life back then because a few guys loved me and I loved them and I don't know which of them gave me you."
"You could ask." Darcie said, taking another bite of chicken.
Liv laughed at that. "I wish it was that easy, peanut."
"It's not?" Darcie asked.
"No, it's not." Liv kissed the top of her head. "But you don't have to worry about that. The point is, your doctor thought that there would be a way to make your cancer go away."
"'sides the chemo?" Darcie asked.
"Besides the chemo." Liv said. "I know you don't like it, that it makes you sick. But if this works, it means no more chemo."
"What is it?" Darcie asked.
"They take something from one of those men I told you about, and they see if it matches stuff in you." Liv explained. "And if it does, then they put it in your body, and it fights the stuff that's making you sick and gets rid of it."
"So I'd be all better?" Darcie asked. "I could go back to school an' see my fw'ends?"
"Yeah, baby, if it works." Liv said, smiling down at her.
"I hope it does." She said quietly.
"Me, too." She said. "Hey, I told you all that, because I had a question."
"What?" Darcie asked, making a face as she tried to wipe ketchup off of her fingers. Liv took pity on her and helped her.
"I wanted to know if you wanted to meet the guys I know." She said. "They'd like to meet you, but only if you want to meet them."
"And one of them is my daddy?" She asked.
"Well...it's complicated." Liv said. "Think of them as...people who really care about you and want to spend time with you..."
"Just until I'm better?" Darcie asked, and Liv fought not to wince at that.
"No, baby, they want to be in your life forever." She said gently.
Darcie stared at her and then nodded. "Ok."
"You want to meet them?" Liv asked.
"Yeah." Darcie said. "But...just...one atta time, an' you there."
"Of course, baby. I wouldn't leave you alone." Liv promised, hugging her to her side.
"Ok." Darcie leaned into her, absently nibbling at the chicken finger she had in her hand. Liv felt a weight come off of her at that Darcie seemed to be ok with things. Kids were so resilient.
Later that night after Darcie fell asleep, Liv waited for a little while before she made her way out of the room and down to the waiting room. She tucked herself into a chair where she could look out across the hospital grounds (not that there was much of a view) and she looked through the calls she'd gotten and picked one of them at random, wondering which guy she was calling.
"Hello." Dominik answered and Liv smiled at the sound of his voice.
"Did I wake you up?" She asked.
"We're sitting around watching Live PD reruns." He admitted. "Nothing too exciting."
"So you're all together?" She aksed.
"We are, why?" He asked. "Is something wrong?"
"Put me on speaker." She requested.
"Ok. You're on." Dominik said, and his voice sounded different, like it was further away. "Is something wrong with Darcie?"
"No, she's fine." Liv promised, hearing the concern in his tone and it made her feel...not good, but it felt...indescribable. "I talked to her. About meeting you all. She's up for it. Her only demands, if you can call it that, is that she wants to meet you one at a time, and she wants me to be there."
"Of course you would." Kevin said, and the matter of fact tone in his voice made her smile. "So how do you want to do this? Which of us do you want to introduce her to first?"
"Oh no." Liv said. "No way in hell am I making that decision, you four can fight it out. There's no way I'm choosing."
"You know that doesn't make it any easier." Sheamus pointed out, although he sounded amused when he said it.
Liv grinned. "When have I ever made anything easy?" She asked, and all the men laughed at that, making her squirm happily.
"When do you want to do it?" Drew asked.
"Day after tomorrow?" Liv asked. "She's going through another round of chemo and radiation tomorrow and she's not going to be in good form for meeting anyone new then. She usually feels a little better the day after though."
"What's her favorite food?" Kevin asked.
Liv frowned. "Pigs in a blanket." She said honestly. "She loves anything she can dip in ketchup, really, so maybe ketchup is her favorite food?"
Sheamus laughed at that. "Don't you hate ketchup?"
"Despise it." Liv said, and the guys laughed again. "It makes me gag, but anything to get her to eat."
"Yeah, I can imagine." Kevin said quietly. "Well, we'll figure all of that out. Good luck tomorrow, we hope it won't be too bad on her."
"I'm not holding my breath, but that would be nice." Liv said honestly.
"You should be optimistic; if you go into the day being optimistic, it'll work out." Kevin said.
Liv chuckled. "That's rich coming from you, since when are you overly optimistic?"
"Since I've got a reason to be." He said simply.
That effected her more than she wanted to admit and she went quiet after that.
The next day could've gone worse. Of course with it being a chemo and radiation day, it wasn't exactly a walk in the park either. Liv spent most of the day curled up with Darcie, trying to distract her with Disney movies and her favorite books (The Secret Sunshine Project, Leila and the Blue Fox, Gibberish), in between long bouts of Darcie sleeping that is and Liv doing anything and everything to get Darcie to eat even just a little bit (which wasn't that easy considering how crummy she felt).
The guys were a godsend throughout all of it, though. Drew brought her lunch and sat with her while she ate, Kevin kept a running commentary on things through text, Sheamus texted her corny jokes, and Dominik playfully flirted with her and made her promises of going to Disney after Darcie was good enough to be out of the hospital.
She was thankful for all of them for that.
The next day was marginally better. Darcie wasn't as nauseous, thankfully, and ate a good portion of her breakfast without much coercion. She took a small nap after that, but was up again around noon for a round of having her blood taken. It wasn't her favorite thing in the world, but Liv was a little sad to see that Darcie was getting used to it by that point and barely reacted as the nurse inserted the needle.
Once she was left alone again, Liv started easing into asking Darcie about getting lunch. She knew that having her blood taken so much would take a toll on the poor kid, so she wanted to get some iron in her if she could to help replenish her iron. She was cut off by a knock on the door, and waited for a few seconds for one of the nurses to come in. When no one did, Liv looked at Darcie curiously and then back at the door.
"Come in." She called, confused.
Dominik came in then, carrying a small pack with him. He flashed them both a smile and gave Liv a knowing look. She looked him over, seeing that he was casually dressed in black jeans and a basketball jersey that was red and said Feast Your Eyes. Boy did she have that urge. "Darcie, baby, this is Dominik. He's one of the men I told you about."
"Hi, monkey." He said, smiling at her. "How are you?"
"Better than yes'erday." Darcie said honestly, making Liv grin and Dominik laugh.
"Yeah, I bet." He said, leaning his hip agaisnt her bed. "I'm glad though. I know going through that isn't very fun."
"No, but it's helpin' me." Darcie said, and Liv was pretty sure she was just parroting things that she'd heard from countless adults around her.
"Still not fun though, right?" Dominik said knowingly. "But...I have something I hope will help."
"What?" Darcie asked, looking at him curiously.
Dominik looked at Liv. "She can have outside food right?"
"She can have anything she can choke down." She said honestly.
"Good." Dominik put the pack on the end of the bed and unzipped it carefully. When he got it open, Liv could smell food inside and she looked at him curiously, but he ignored her as he took a large tupperware container out of the pack, a fourteen cup pack as far as Liv could guess, and Liv looked at it curiously and then grinned when she saw an absolute hilariously large portion of pigs in a blanket piled in them. "I was told these were your favorite."
"Oooh yeah!" Darcie lit up and Liv's heart burst as she saw the unbridled joy on her daughter's face. Even if it was just because of bits of pork wrapped in puff pastry, she'd take it. "You made them?"
"Well I helped." Dominik said, and Liv figured that was being generous. Before Liv could call him on it, he took out a green Naked juice and plucked it down on the tray along with the food.
"Thank you, Dom'nik." Darcie said sweetly.
"You're welcome, monkey." He leaned over and kissed Darcie's head. "Oh I forgot the best part." He took out a squeeze bottle of ketchup and the shriek Darcie let out made both Liv and Dominik laugh loudly. He squirted a good portion in a corner so she could dip them in and opened the Naked juice for her (it tasted mostly of apples and pineapples so after a hesitant sip, Darcie was all for it). Dominik pulled a chair close to the bed and he and Darcie chatted as she ate, Dominik casually answering all the questions she had (what did he do for a job (firefighter...and yes he offered to take her on the truck once she was better), where did he live (not too far away, but he was looking to move) and other sorts of questions she had). Darcie wound up eating a good portion of the pigs in blankets and most of the Naked juice and Dominik put it back in the pack as she settled down and quietly started watching tv. It wasn't too long before she was dozing and Dominik looked over at Liv. "I know you may not want to do this..."
"What?" She asked, eyeing him curiously.
"Why don't you leave me with Darcie." He said. He held his hands up before she could interrupt. "Just for a little while. Look, she's napping, and she may be down for a while. You can go, wash clothes, take a shower..."
"You sound like the nurses here." Liv cracked.
Dominik smiled at her. He got up and walked over, kissing her on the forehead. "Come on, babe. You know you want to. We'll be fine."
Liv chewed on her lip for a moment and then sighed lightly. "Fine, but you call me if you need anything."
"Promise." Dominik said. He settled down again as Liv gathered up her coat and a small bag she kept there and she kissed Darcie's head before heading out of the room.
Liv walked out to the elevator and got down to the lobby, smiling a little at people as she left. She walked outside and tried to remember where her car even was when she heard a short honk. Looking over, she saw Drew idling nearby in a large SUV. Cocking her head, Liv walked over to the window, which he had rolled down.
"Need a ride?" He asked, flashing her a smile.
"I...you planned this, didn't you?" Liv asked.
"I don't know what you mean." Drew said as she walked around and got in the passenger side. She buckled up and Drew pulled out of the lot. "I just so happened to be..."
"Oh cut the shit." Liv said, laughing. "How'd you know I'd agree?"
"Dominik said he was always good at talking you into things." Drew raised a playful eyebrow at her. "Do I want to know the specifics of that?"
"Probably not." Liv giggled quietly. "I live..."
"Nope." Drew said. "I'm taking you back to our place to make sure you'll get some sleep."
"You know that's like kidnapping or something." Liv pointed out, mildly annoyed.
"So scream." Drew said, knowing good and damn well she wouldn't do such a thing. They drove about 20 minutes away to a peach stucco home with a small yard and attached two car garage. He parked in the medium driveway and Liv followed him into the house. The living room was basic Florida chic with a medium sized blue couch along a light blue wall, four white chairs on either side of a wood coffee table and an amazing view out to a lake out back of the property. She smelled food cooking and heard laughter and conversation and Drew led her through to the kitchen. It was a dark wood color with dark cabinets and light marble counter tops and an island. There were two stainless steel ovens and a stainless steel microwave and dish washer. Along one wall was a door that she figured led to a basement or something. She got distracted seeing Sheamus and Kevin there. Both were shirtless in shorts and were cooking up some early dinner it looked like and Liv's stomach growled loudly.
Both men's heads quickly turned to look at her and Sheamus grinned mischievously. "You should do something about that beast inside'a ya, lass, it sounds like it's tryin' to get out."
"I'm just hungry." Liv blushed.
"Sit her down." Kevin gestured to Drew. "We'll get her food."
"You know I can sit myself." Liv sassed.
Drew smiled at her and pulled out a chair at the island. "Let someone take care of you, it's not a crime." He said, sliding the chair back under the island when she climbed up in it.
"If you insist." Liv said. She'd forgotten just how fussy and protective weres could be, but privately it felt sort of nice to be fussed over. She was a little weirded out that they were working so well together, but she wouldn't say anything.
"Still take your burger with mayo, pickle, tomato?" Kevin asked.
Liv nodded and he fixed her two burgers, slicing them in half and put a handful of fries on the plate before plucking it in front of her. Drew placed a soda down on her other side and she shook her head with a smile.
"What?" Sheamus asked, eyeing her.
"I just forgot what all this was like." Liv said honestly. "I've been on my own and self-sufficient for a long time now, and this is just..."
"Something you should let yourself get used to again." Kevin said bluntly.
"I don't know about all that." Liv said, taking a bite of her burger. She chewed thoughtfully and raised her eyebrows. "Wow, this is pretty good. But I've been eating hospital food for a few weeks now."
"Good to know I rank above hospital food." Kevin joked as the guys got their food and sat around her. "I take it Darcie warmed up to Kevin."
"She adores him." Liv said, sighing lightly. "She was about to take a nap when I left. But before that she just talked his ear off and gave him the Spanish Inquisition."
Drew chuckled at that. "I guess the rest of us can look forward to that."
"Yeah, probably. She's a very inquisitive child." Liv said honestly. "Even when she's not feeling good."
"Sounds just like her mama." Sheamus teased.
Liv made a face. "I'm not that bad."
Drew flat out laughed at that. "I remember when you first found out about shifters..."
"Anyone would have a ton of questions!" Liv exclaimed. "You turn into a frickin' reindeer for God's sake! How could I not have questions?"
"I remember when you first asked if you could ride me." Drew mused.
"Which type?" Sheamus asked playfully.
Drew just smirked at him, grunting when Liv hit him playfully in the arm.
"The furry type." Liv answered.
"I mean..." Drew looked down the neck of his shirt jokingly.
Liv swatted at him again, laughing. "Shut up, jackass." She had to admit, even though Darcie was of course at the back of her mind, she was very relaxed right then. She trusted Dominik to keep Darcie safe and happy and to take care of her, and she knew she could relax as long as Darcie was ok with her not being there. She stretched after eating her fill and rubbed at her face. "As much as I enjoyed this, I should get home and do some clothes, maybe shower."
She missed the look that passed between the guys, and stacked her plate and cup as Sheamus spoke up. "Come on, little Livvie, why don't you lay down for a little while at least." He cajoled. "Afterward, once you've slept, I'm sure you'll have enough time to do all that."
Liv chewed on her lip and thought about it. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to lie down for a little while." She admitted. She startled a bit when a yawn ripped out of her, wincing when her jaw cracked with the power of it.
Kevin stood up then and walked around the island. "Come on, sweetness." He said, scooping her up in his arms. "You can sleep in my room." He carried her into his room and Liv just leaned into him. It was comforting in a way. His room was about what she expected. Light wood flooring with dark blue walls and an iron wrought bed that had black bedding. There was an ensuite and a clock that looked like a compass and on the bedside table was a small bonsai plant and, curiously, an elaborate bronze hourglass with brown sand inside of it. He placed her down on the bed and dug out a shirt she knew would be oversized on her.
It should've been weird for Kevin to change Liv into the shirt, but to be honest, it just felt...nice to be taken care of. It had been a long time since anything like that had happened, and she was so tired, she just let it happen. It wasn't like Kevin hadn't seen her undressed before. He folded her clothes at the end of the bed as he changed her into the plain white shirt that hung down to her thighs and he rolled the long sleeves up until they were above her elbows. He slid his hands up the shirt and expertly undid her bra and slipped it off casually and pulled her up and tucked her into bed.
"I haven't been so thoroughly tucked into bed since I was very young." Liv said, trying to joke.
Kevin smiled and kissed her head. "Sleep, sweet dreams, Liv." Liv watched him go and she had to admit, a nap sounded too good right then so she snuggled into his bed, ignoring the way it smelled like him and she felt her eyes slowly getting more and more heavy until she fell asleep.
Sometime later, Liv woke up and she noticed it was noticeably darker in the room. She looked out the window and noticed that the sun was dipping low in the sky. She gasped and hopped up out of bed, looking around for her clothes. Not seeing them, Liv groaned to herself and walked out of the room to the living room where the three guys were lounging around watching tv. "Where are my clothes?" She asked, putting her hands on her hips.
Sheamus looked up and gave her a grin. "I don't know, I sort of like this look m'self. I'd rather it was my shirt though."
"I bet you would." Liv said, trying to not think about how those words affected her. "I need my clothes, I was going to go home and do a load but I slept too long, I need to get back to the hospital."
"You don't have to." Drew got up and walked over to the back of the couch. He picked up a laundry basket and Liv's jaw dropped open as she recognized all of her clothes piled in it, neatly folded and freshly washed.
"What the...how in the...did you break into my house?" Liv asked, gobsmacked as she stared between the clothes and the three men.
"Hardly." Drew rolled his eyes lightly. "You had your key in your bag. We just found it and went and grabbed all the clothes you needed to wash..."
"Did a load of dishes..." Kevin picked up on the words.
"...threw away some science experiments in your fridge." Sheamus smiled.
"And we did your clothes and now you have all clean clothes." Drew finished, smiling at her.
Liv blinked a few times, her jaw dropped open. "You...you did...you...what?"
"We just wanted a little bit o'the burden to be taken from you." Sheamus explained gently. "So that you don't have to fuss over anything but the little one."
Liv blinked back tears and laughed quietly. "I don't know how to thank you."
"You don't have to thank us for anything." Drew walked over and pulled her into a hug. "We all want to do whatever we can to make life easier on you and Darcie and we will do whatever that may be."
Liv wiped her face and pulled back from him, looking up at him. "Will you drive me back to the hospital?"
"Yeah, I have to pick up Dom anyway." Drew kissed her forehead and Liv turned and grabbed some clothes to go change into.
Pausing, Liv turned back and looked at the three men. "My clothes are here."
"Let's cross that bridge when we come to it." Kevin said smoothly. "We'll keep them here for you for when you need to come nap again."
Liv shook her head. "If you say so." She paused again and chewed on her finger. "I don't suppose I can take a shower..."
"Use mine." Kevin said. "I put some of your bath stuff in there."
"You..." Liv decided to broach that later and turned and walked off to shower. Sure enough, her bath products were in the bathroom and she decided to just ignore that for now and she showered and changed into some clean clothes. Drew drove her off to the hospital once she was done and she peeked her head in the room, smiling when she saw Darcie laying on the bed. She had her head against Dominik's chest, both with their eyes glued to the tv. Darcie looked tired out still, but more bright eyed at least. "Hey you two."
"Mama." Darcie smiled when she saw her.
"Hey, baby, have a nice nap?" Liv asked, walking over to the bed.
"Uh huh." Darcie nodded, smiling up at her.
"She slept about an hour." Dominik said. "Then she finished off her pigs and kept it down. The nurse came in to hang some saline and check vitals. Other than that, it's been pretty calm."
"Well that's good." Liv said, relieved. "Thank you for staying with her."
Dominik smiled at her. "We had a blast, didn't we, monkey?"
"Yeah, it was good, mama." Darcie smiled up at her. "We had fun."
"Well I am glad about that." Liv kissed her head, smiling lovingly as she ran a hand over Darcie's head.
A little while later, Dominik made his leave, promising Darcie that he'd be back some time. Liv snuggled up with her daughter after that, having missed her, even after just a few hours away. She listened to Darcie tell her about everything, including Darcie giving Dominik a lesson in Baymax and Sesame Street Mecha Builders. She looked up at Liv wide eyed. "Did you know Dom'nik knows Dr. Seuss?"
Liv laughed at that. "Oh baby." She kissed her head. "Dr. Seuss has been around a lot longer than you realize."
"It has?" Darcie asked.
"Longer than when I was your age even." Liv confirmed.
"Woah!" Darcie exclaimed and Liv laughed aloud at that.
After that, Liv and Darcie had their usual night. Liv helped her with dinner and she found out Dominik had left a Naked juice for her (Blue Machine) and Liv opened it for her, letting her have it for 'dessert'. It was like Dominik was trying to turn her healthy or something, Liv smiled at the thought.
A little while later, as Darcie was winding down for the night, Liv's phone chirped with a message from Drew.
Your little girl made quite the impression on Dom.
I'd say so, I think she has him wrapped around her finger now.
He's researching Big Hero 6 and Sesame Street. I think he's overwhelmed that there are 4, 626 episodes.
Liv choked down on the loud laugh she wanted to laugh and grinned over her chewed lip. Tell him she only knows about Mecha Builders. I haven't gotten around to exposing her to the actual Sesame Street yet.
He says 20 episodes are a lot easier to deal with.
Liv giggled at that. He's a good man. All of you are.
We are if you'll give us a chance to be.
Liv tapped her toes against the floor quietly and thought about what she wanted to say. I'm...today was really nice, I'll admit that.
If you're worried about us abandoning you and Darcie, don't. We're already fighting it out about who gets to visit Darcie next.
Liv grinned at that.
Shirtless in baby oil? In underwear? Oooh send me pictures!
Ha. Ha. I doubt it'll get that interesting. But if it does, you'll be the first to know.
At least let me know who wins the right to visit next.
Sheamus is making a good argument about it. Kevin's shooting down his arguments, though. I'm pretty sure he'll win in the end.
Liv snorted at that. I can see that. He's always been very rational about his arguments. It's hard to really argue with him.
Drew sent a picture through then and Liv put a hand to her mouth to keep from laughing out loud. In it Kevin had a pretty smug expression on his face while Sheamus looked like he was about to deck him for it. Liv could sympathize.
Tell Kevin I'll expect him tomorrow, but he has big shoes to fill, Dominik brought Darcie pigs in a blanket and Naked juice. Tell Sheamus he can come next if it makes him feel better.
The hell he can, I'm next. Sheamus can lump it for all he likes.
Liv giggled quietly at that. Ok if you want to fight it out with him.
I'm not scared of him.
He's standing behind you reading this over your shoulder.
A picture came in then of Drew in bed, his bare chest and face the only thing in frame, besides a little bit of the bed frame behind him. Nice try.
Liv flushed a bit and chewed on her lip, fighting a smile. It was worth a shot.
Uh huh. You should try and get some sleep now. I have no doubt Darcie will keep you busy tomorrow. Kevin will see you probably around lunch again.
I'll try, no promises. Tell Kevin to bring me goodies tomorrow, too. I feel left out. ;)
I'll do that. G'night, Liv.
Night, Drew.
The next day Kevin showed up, like clockwork, around very early afternoon. Liv couldn't help but laugh when he came bearing a stacked club sandwich for her, and pizza bites for Darcie. The little girl seemed a little more reserved around the man, which Liv completely understood, Kevin was...large and very intimidating looking. But when you got to know him and saw how calm and sweet he was, it was hard not to warm up to him.
Pop the Pig, Villainous, Operation, and Apples to Apples helped.
Battleship and Yahtzee were kind of a bust.
Then Darcie found out Kevin hadn't ever played Candy Land.
"This is how I learned my colors." Darcie said as she and Kevin played. Liv thought it was impressive that a man that was 6'4 folded himself on the end of a hospital bed, but Kevin seemed very comfortable with one leg bent under the opposite knee, and the other on the floor. The nurses had come in and out a couple of times and each of them startled when they first saw him, which Liv thought was hilarious, but Darcie was charmed.
"I bet that was easy, it's a really colorful board." Kevin smiled at her and the calm, happy look on his face had Liv feeling all sorts of things.
Darcie nodded. "Yeah, it's got all the colors on it." She informed him.
Liv thought that was an exaggeration, but...looking the board over, she couldn't see any color that wasn't on the board.
Maybe gray?
Gray sucked anyway.
"What's your favorite color?" Kevin asked.
Darcie thought it over, even though Liv knew she didn't have to. "I like purple an' orange." She said. "My fw'end Elena said that nobody likes orange, so I decided I like it."
Kevin shook his head. "I don't think no one likes orange, I think everyone likes every color. I mean for every color, there's someone that likes it."
"Even black and gray?" Darcie scrunched her face up.
Kevin laughed. "Even black and gray." He confirmed.
"Eww." Darcie said emphatically, making Kevin laugh again.
After Darcie got tired of Candy Land, and was sure Kevin got the gist of playing it, they put the game away and Kevin noticed Darcie was lagging. Liv had fallen asleep a few hours earlier, curled up in the chair she was sitting in with Kevin's jacket wrapped around her. He moved to sit beside Darcie, and the little girl curled up against his side. Kevin felt his heart burst as he looked at her, all small and tiny but with a big personality and smiled. Her baby soft blonde hair spilled over her face and he gently moved it out of her face. She had her tiny little fist wrapped into his shirt and was drooling against his chest.
He didn't want to be anywhere else.
He eased his phone out of his pocket and angled it so that he could take a picture of Darcie and Liv. He saved it and sent it to Drew, Sheamus and Dominik.
You bored them that much?
Kevin rolled his eyes at the response from Sheamus. They need their sleep. Darcie had me playing Candy Land and I guess the excitement was too much for her.
I'm not ashamed to say I'm very jealous. Kevin smirked at Drew's response.
Don't worry, you'll get your chance. Eventually.
I will hurt you.
Because I should be afraid of a deer?
Better a deer than a fat blubber of lard that can't get out of the water.
Better to drown you.
Kevin smirked at the comeback and held in a loud laugh when Drew sent back a series of emoticons of a hand flipping the bird.
Liv slept for another hour before she got up, the imprint of Kevin's jacket on her face. She rubbed at it and made a face at him. "You could've woke me up."
"And what?" He asked sarcastically. "Made you talk to me while the kid napped?"
Liv rolled her eyes. "Did anything happen?"
"The PAW Patrol had to track down Everest's snowcat." Kevin said. "Personally I'm wondering if it was actually haunted."
Liv blinked at him slowly and then shook her head. "You've been watching PAW Patrol this whole time?"
"No, just the last 45 minutes or so." Kevin said honestly.
"No visits from the doctors or anything?" Liv asked.
"I would've woken you up." Kevin said. "Just a couple nurses checking Darcie's vitals and hanging another bag of fluids. They helped her go potty about an hour ago, but then she went right back to sleep."
"I hate this, Kevin." Liv said quietly. "I hate it. I just want my baby to be ok again."
"I know you do, baby." Kevin said quietly. "I know, so do I. She will be, though. You have to know that."
"I hope so." Liv wiped at her eye, not wanting Darcie to wake up to her crying.
"Why don't you go get us some food? Maybe Shrimp Basket?" Kevin suggested.
Liv nodded. "What do you want?"
"Get me the Low Country Boil with okra and green beans." Kevin said. "Does Darcie like food from there? I just saw it on my phone."
Liv nodded again. "She likes their popcorn shrimp basket."
"Good, take my wallet." Kevin said.
"I'm not going to do that." Liv snorted.
"Come on, let me do something for you." Kevin said.
"Besides bringing a handful of boardgames and playing Candy Land with my kid far longer than I could ever put up with?" Liv cracked.
"Besides that." Kevin said.
Liv stared at him, but knew she wouldn't win this one. She didn't want to though. She walked over and eased Kevin's wallet out of his pocket and took what she figured was enough money from it and put it back.
"I think that's the first time you've felt me up in a long time." He teased, grinning at her.
Liv pinched his arm. "Jackass."
"You knew this." He pointed out as she left the room.
Kevin hung out with them through dinner and kissed Darcie on the head as he got ready to leave, promising she'd see him again. He was absolutely charmed by the little girl and already knew she had a special place in his heart.
The next day, Liv was surprised that both Drew and Sheamus showed up. It made her laugh though, because she just had a feeling that would happen. They showed up earlier than the others, a little after breakfast. They quickly had Darcie warming up to them with their endless jokes and boundless happiness and after about two hours, Drew sat down beside Liv and looked at her curiously.
"You think I should go get some sleep." She said knowingly.
"I'm just saying, I think you could." He said honestly. "I wouldn't mind it if you did."
"Am I going to go find Kevin or Dom waiting for me when I get down there?" Liv asked.
Drew's eyebrows shot up and it was obvious whatever was about to come out of his mouth next was going to be a lie. "What? No. Of course not. Why would you..."
Liv rolled her eyes and stood up. She went over and kissed Darcie's head. "Baby, would you mind if mama went and got a few things done? Maybe get a little sleep? I'll be back before dinner."
"Go mama, you need sleep, too. I know it's hard in here." Darcie said, sounding far more wise than her young age.
Liv gave her a muted smile and kissed her head again. "I'll be back and if you need me..."
"We'll call, don't worry." Sheamus said, smiling at her. "Don't worry, Darcie's going to explain PAW Patrol to me. I think I'm going to like this Zuma fella."
Liv shook her head playfully. "You don't know what you're getting yourself into." She teased.
"Uh huh." Sheamus grinned. "What is it about you Morgan lasses that wrap yourselves around us?"
"What is it about us Morgan lasses that make us so lucky to have so many good men on our side?" Liv returned. Before he could respond, she walked out of the room and to the elevator. As she walked out front, she winced at the sunlight that hit her in the face. She heard a car pull up and laughed when she saw Kevin hanging out the window of the car, smiling at her. "I should've known you had this planned."
"You love it." He pointed out as she walked around and got in.
"I plead the fifth." She said, buckling her seatbelt.
"Yeah, I just bet you do." He said, pulling away from the curb. "You know people just say that when they have something to hide."
"I plead the fifth." Liv repeated and Kevin shook his head playfully. He glanced over a few times as he drove and saw Liv sinking against the window, blinking her eyes rapidly. By the time he pulled into the driveway, she looked ready to drop.
"Baby, come on." Kevin said. He got out and walked around, opening her door. Scooping her up in his arms, Kevin knocked the car door shut with his leg and carried her up to the front door. He managed to get it open and carried her inside. Dominik was inside, sprawled on the couch watching tv. He picked his head up when he saw them come in and he hopped up, following Kevin to his bedroom. He pulled the covers back and Kevin slid Liv into bed and Dominik covered her as Kevin slid her glasses off and put them on the bedside table.
Before the men could move away, Liv blinked her eyes open tiredly. "Stay." She said quietly.
Dominik and Kevin looked at each other and then shrugged. Dominik, who was still wearing the sweatpants he'd worn to bed the night before, slid in on one side of her and hugged her to him while Kevin stripped down and got into the other. He snuggled up against her back and Liv sighed contentedly as she curled between them and fell to sleep almost immediately once she was settled in with them.
Sheamus looked at Drew with a grin as the Scotsman was flipping through the tv channels to find something to watch. Darcie was koalaed to him fast asleep after they'd chatted for a while and she had lunch. "You should go out and get us food." He said quietly, not wanting to wake Darcie up.
Drew raised an eyebrow at him. "Why me?"
Sheamus snorted and gestured to Darcie. "I don't want to wake her."
Drew thought about it. "I wonder if they'll get onto me for bringing pizza in here."
Sheamus shrugged a shoulder lightly. "Probably not. Just sneak it in. Get a meat lover's and a small cheese for the kid."
"You think she's going to want a cheese pizza after eating lunch?" Drew asked.
"Breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper." Sheamus listed with a shit eating grin.
Drew blinked at him slowly and then rolled his eyes, calling him a nerd as he walked out of the room. Sheamus chuckled quietly and kissed Darcie's head gently, closing his eyes, intending to nap while Drew was gone. When Drew got back, the smell of the pizza woke Darcie up and they gave her a piece of the cheese pizza while they turned on Raya and the Last Dragon. Drew stole Sheamus' spot beside her and smirked when Sheamus realized it and gave him a dirty look for it.
"Drew where's Kumandra?" Darcie asked, chewing a particularly stringy piece of cheese as she watched the movie.
Drew laughed mid bite. "It's not a real place, mo laochain." He said. "It's just...a random place they made up for the movie, I guess."
"Tuk Tuk 'minds me of this thing on a show I watched 'bout a car that went to the Land of Make Believe." Darcie said, watching the screen intently.
"Mr. Rogers?" Drew asked, perking up.
"You know it?" Darcie looked up at him in wonder.
"Yeah, I watched it all the time!" Drew smiled. "I moved to the US when I was young and I watched it, Barney, Sesame Street, Shari Lewis and Lambchop..."
Darcie scrunched up her nose. "Mama says Barney is too weird, but I've never heard of Lam'chop."
Drew and Sheamus shared a look and both got on their phones to look up Lamb Chop's Play-Along. Neither one could find a place where they could find episodes in full, but they found a lot of clips that they showed Darcie, who was delighted by the little puppets and Shari's gentle and kind nature. She smiled brightly as she watched clip after clip until both Sheamus and Drew's phones were drained of battery.
Liv woke up and noticed that she was...warm. It was...interesting. She blinked her eyes open and even though everything was blurry, she could tell that she was in bed with Kevin and Dominik. Dominik was in front of her, and she was curled up against him. He was fast asleep and looked calm and relaxed. Kevin's large arm was thrown around her, hugging her to him, while her head was on Dominik's chest. She felt...nice. She liked it. Could she like it? It was a little...complicated to think about and she didn't want to right then so she purposely shifted a bit, feeling Kevin's arm tighten around her briefly.
"You make me lazy." He grunted in her ear.
"No one told you to take a nap with me." She replied.
"Actually, you did." Dominik said, opening his eyes. "You asked both of us to stay."
"I was tired." Liv said, flushing bright red.
"You wanted to cuddle." Kevin teased.
"I di...I...well." Liv muttered, ducking her head.
"You know it's not a bad thing." Dominik said.
"What do you mean?" Liv asked.
"This. Us. All of this." Kevin said, seeing where he was going with this. "You're into all of us, all of us are into you. So why can't you..."
"Whore around with the four of you?" Liv turned onto her back and slid up so she could face the both of them. "Is that what you want?"
"Come off it, Liv." Kevin sat up and faced her, as did Dominik. "That's not how it's going to be at all. It'd be a commited relationship, wherein you would be with more than one person. It'd be like any other normal relationship, except it's not just two people."
"What about Drew and Sheamus?" Liv asked.
"They'd be into it." Dominik said. "They're...we're all...attached. With you, with Darcie. Not to harp about what happened, but none of the four of us wanted things to end the first time, so if this is the way to go back to something that made us happy..."
Liv stared between them, chewing on her lip. Finally she sighed and looked down at her nails. "Well you all are going to be the ones to tell her you turn into big animals at will."
Kevin smiled at her. "That's easy. We'll just tell Darcie that Dom can double as a dog for her."
"Man fuck you." Dominik reached over and slugged him, making Kevin laugh. "I am a coyote shifter, not a dog."
"Same thing." Kevin shrugged.
Liv shook her head and ducked it, holding in a smile. "I'm crazy for even thinking about this..."
"But you are thinking about it." Kevin smiled.
"Yeah...damn, ok. I mean, I can't say I don't...not want it." Liv said.
"Yeah?" Dominik asked, grinning then.
"Yes." Liv said, rolling her eyes playfully.
"Fantastic." Kevin leaned in and kissed her lightly. She kissed him back for a minute or two until Dominik playfully pushed him out of the way and kissed her himself.
"As fun as this is." She said, once they pulled away from each other. "I need to get back to the hospital."
"First." Kevin said. "Let me at least feed you. I know you won't eat if I don't, or you'll get something from the vending machine."
Liv thought about it. "Alright...but something fast and easy."
"Fast and easy is my specialty." Kevin gave her a lascivious look before he hopped out of bed and left the room.
The rest of the week turned out to be basically the same, with one of the guys or more coming by to hang out with Darcie while Liv got a nap in. A couple of days they left her alone, figuring they didn't have to interfere every day. They were hanging around at home at the start of the next week, making plans to have things sent up to move into their home full time, and to find new jobs and such (for Kevin and Drew it wouldn't be that hard really), when Sheamus' phone rang.
"Hey, hot stuff." He answered, once he saw Liv's number on the ID. He listened for a few seconds before his eyes widened and he hopped up from the couch. "What?! Are you bleedin'...don't be jokin' about that...are you...oh my God, we'll be right down!" He ended the call and threw his phone.
"What?! What is it?" Drew asked, looking up at him. "What'd she say?"
"The bone marrow's a match." Sheamus said. "She's going to have the thing done...we gotta get there..."
It was a flurry of activity after that with the four men hurrying to shower, change and get out the door. They stumbled through the front of the hospital under 20 minutes later and went up to the right floor, seeing Liv standing outside the room. She looked up, chewing on her lip and sent them a slight smile.
"Where is she? Did she already go?' Sheamus asked, pulling her into his arms.
"Just now." Liv said. "Like two minutes ago. She was nervous, but they promised her that she'd just go to sleep for a bit and then wake up in the room. She's nervous because they said she'd be sore for a day or two, but that it shouldn't be so bad. I bribed her by saying I'd call you four."
"We're glad you did." Kevin said seriously. "Let's go wait in the waiting room." He put a hand on her lower back and led her to the now familiar room and they all sat so that they were surrounding Liv.
"Did they say how long it'd take?" Dominik asked.
Liv sighed quietly. "Three to five hours."
"Damn." He mumbled, shaking his head. "That's a really long time."
"Since she's so young and tiny, they want to go slow with it to make sure her body doesn't reject it." She explained, fiddling with her hands. "Then she has to stay for six more weeks after it to make sure her body still doesn't reject it. If she's ok after that, then she can go home."
"She'll be fine." Sheamus reached over and scooped her up, putting her on his lap. She curled into him almost instinctively and laid her head on his chest. "She's a fighter, she's shown that."
"Have you eaten anything?" Drew asked quietly.
Liv shook her head. "I can't eat until I know what's going on. I'll throw up if I do."
"What about some milk or something?" Sheamus asked.
Liv made a face. "I'm fine, really."
"What about Darcie, can she eat when she gets back?" Kevin asked.
Liv nodded. "Yeah. She had to have an empty stomach since last night, which she wasn't happy about. But they said once she's settled in her room again, she can eat." She noticed the four guys sharing a look and she tensed up a bit. "Don't even think about suggesting it."
"Suggesting what?" Drew asked, raising his eyebrows.
Liv folded her arms over her chest. "That I leave and go nap and eat or something. I'm not leaving."
"You yourself said that it could take three to five hours." Sheamus pointed out. "We could leave and be back in plenty of time."
"No." Liv said, shaking her head. "I can't. What if something happens?"
"Nothing will happen." Drew said gently. "It's a routine thing they've done here more times than anyone can count. She'll be fine."
Liv sighed and looked hesitant, tugging on a lock of her hair.
"I'll stay back." Dominik said. "I'll stick around here and you can go and nap and eat. That way I'll be here if anything happens and I can call. You'll just be under half an hour away."
"I can't ask you to do that." Liv said.
Dominik snorted. "You aren't asking me to do anything, I'm offering."
"Come on, it'll be fine. Besides, if you're well rested and fed before she gets back, you'll be good to go to keep an eye on her while she recovers." Drew cajoled her gently.
Liv sighed again and stretched her legs out. She looked at Kevin pointedly. "If I get with you four, this is more of what I can expect, isn't it?"
"What's that?" Kevin raised an eyebrow, fighting a smile.
"You all teaming up against me to do like...what's right for me and all." Liv said, like she was disgusted about it.
The laughter reverberated around the room, it was Drew who recovered first. "Afraid so. But if it makes you feel better, we don't always agree and you can totally take advantage of that when it happens if it benefits you instead."
Liv perked up at that. "Good!" She got up and leaned over, kissing Dominik. "Are you sure you don't mind doing this?"
Dominik nodded before she could even get the question out. "I'll watch YouTube on my phone or read a book or something."
"Alright." Liv turned to look at the other three. "Let's go." She let Drew and Kevin tuck her between them and she walked out with them while Sheamus led the way. He drove them back to the house and leaned in and kissed her once they got inside.
"You go lay down with Kev and Drew. I'll have you something to eat when you wake up." He instructed.
"Ok." Liv rubbed at her face as she followed Kevin and Drew, probably going with her to make sure she actually got some sleep. Both men stripped down to their underwear (and she'll never get over that view. Kevin was stockier, slightly shorter, one sleeve covering his entire arm, massive pecs that Liv knew for a fact were very comfortable laying on. Drew was slightly taller, slightly bigger pecs, and a shit ton hairier). She borrowed a shirt from Drew (a blue shirt that said 32Red on it she was vaguely sure had to do with some Scottish sports team) and changed into it right there (they were mostly naked, and they'd seen her in far less before) and slid into bed as Kevin and Drew did the same, on each side of her. "What if I want to share a bed with the four of you once we can?"
"Then we will." Kevin said simply.
"Just like that?" Liv asked.
"Just like that." Drew kissed her forehead, his beard scratchy on her skin in a way that had her shivering slightly.
"This is pretty much the most uncomplicated relationship I've ever had despite how complicated it seems like it is." Liv pointed out.
Kevin laughed at that, squeezing her to him, back to chest. "Yeah, well, shifters can work surprisingly well together when they're motivated by a common goal."
"What's your common goal?" Liv asked, even though she was pretty sure she already knew.
"You and Darcie." Drew said, confirming what she thought.
"I don't know how to unpack that." Liv said quietly.
"Don't for now." Kevin squeezed her gently. "Nap. Then eat. Then sometime later unpack."
"I feel like that's a weighty statement." Liv cracked.
"Nah we already pretty much moved you in." Kevin said. "Your clothes are packed in with mine."
"Really?" Liv asked, and weirdly that didn't shock her.
"I have the biggest dresser." He said, and she could just hear the smirk in his voice.
"Good to know." She laid her head on Drew's chest and confirmed that his chest hair was just this side of very comfortable and not scratchy or ticklish in any way. He slipped her glasses off and she felt him pass them to Kevin, who leaned away briefly to put them away. She didn't pay attention much though because she fell asleep.
When she got up, Sheamus had meticulously made a full Irish breakfast. She didn't normally eat such a protein heavy breakfast (crispy bacon, sausages, white and black pudding (don't ask), baked beans, mashed potatoes loaded with butter and toast), nor did she think she could eat it every day, but to her surprise she made a pretty good dent in the portion Sheamus dolled out for her, alongside a couple of glasses of juice.
Liv finally leaned back, holding her stomach. The guys had easily polished away the rest of the food, shoveling down shocking portions of everything between them and she groaned quietly. "As soon as my food settles I'm going to take a shower. How long has it been?"
"You were out for almost two hours." Sheamus said, glancing at his watch. "After you shower and all, we can head back."
"Dom hasn't called?" Liv asked, checking her phone anyway.
Sheamus shook his head, standing up and stretching. "I texted him a couple of times and he said he hadn't heard anything yet."
"Alright." Liv rubbed at her eye and grabbed him by the shirt.
Sheamus raised his eyebrow. "What are you doin', lass?"
"I need help scrubbing my back." Liv said.
Sheamus let a huge grin break out over his face.
She pointed at him playfully. "No hanky panky. I literally do need someone to scrub my back. I need to focus on scrubbing my hair."
"I am just the man for the job." Sheamus grinned widely at Drew and Kevin as he walked off with Liv and the other two gave him dirty looks, knowing the four of them wouldn't be able to all fit in the shower together.
"We have a fuckin' month to get a bigger shower." Kevin said once they'd disappeared.
"That was an oversight when we picked this place." Drew agreed, sighing. "Don't worry, I'll get right on it. If they won't let me add onto this place, I'll just build a new house."
Kevin laughed at that as they went to put the dishes in the dish washer (leftovers were hardly ever a thing when it came to shifters). "You're just going to build a whole entirely new house in a month?"
"It's not the worst idea in the world." Drew said, thinking about it.
"Dude, there's absolutely no fucking way you're going to build an entire fucking house in a month." Kevin said, staring at him like he'd lost his damn mind.
Drew just looked at him with a 'watch me' look.
Kevin balked at him slightly. "You know that's insane, right?"
"Maybe it is." Drew said simply.
Once they got back to the hospital, Darcie was just being moved to recovery. The doctor explained that everything was going well and that she hadn't had any complications whatsoever and that she expected things to 'go very well'. Liv sank against Drew at that and he held her to him, hugging her tightly. About thirty minutes later, they wheeled Darcie back into her room and when the nurses mentioned 'going to get someone to help move her over to her own bed', Kevin scoffed at them and he and Sheamus gently, but quickly, slid her over so that she wasn't jostled around much, and they scooted her up in the bed. Liv eased her into a slight sitting up position until Darcie made a face and she left her in that position.
"How are you doing, baby?" Liv asked, bending to kiss her forehead.
"Tired." Darcie said quietly. "Sore."
"Yeah, I know." Liv murmured. "That'll go away, though."
"Did it work?" Darcie asked.
"The doctor said it looked good." Liv smiled at her. "She thinks it went well and you should get to go home in a few weeks."
"Good." Darcie smiled at her.
"Hey, before you nap, look who came." Liv moved back and Kevin took her place, bending down on the balls of his feet beside her, smiling.
"Hey, munchkin." He murmured, resting his hand on her head.
"Kevin." She smiled at him and he put his hand on top of hers. "You came."
"Of course, baby." He said, squeezing her hand. "We all came."
"Yeah, we wouldn't not come for our best little girl." Dominik said, sitting on the side of her bed . "We had to be here."
"I'm glad." Darcie flashed him a tired, but happy, look.
"You rest for a little while, kid." Drew said, patting her leg. "We'll be here when you wake up." He promised.
Darcie let out a large yawn and grunted, nodding her head slightly. She turned her head to the side and closed her eyes, falling asleep almost immediately.
Liv sagged in relief and ran a hand over her face. "Thank God that's over. Now I just have to keep her busy for the next month before she can leave."
"We will keep her busy." Kevin said, poking at her. "You still aren't in this alone."
"I know, I know." Liv promised. "I'm grateful for that, you have no idea."
"Yeah we do, because we feel the same way." Kevin said honestly.
"Yeah, we're all feel the same way." Sheamus said. "And we'll all come around and help however we can."
"Thank you." Liv smiled at the four of them.
The next few weeks, the men did come and help Liv out with Darcie. The little girl was starting to feel a lot better, which was very encouraging to her doctors. More of her precocious personality was coming out and she was napping less and less, which was very good to see. Liv let herself be cajoled into going and taking naps, and the guys stayed with Darcie, playing games with her, watching tv and movies and just talking with her. She was a smart child and asked thoughtful questions a lot, and the men were even more wrapped around her finger.
Drew noticeably didn't come by as much, although he did make appearances. When Liv called him out on it, he promised that he was just 'doing some work' and was 'being kept pretty busy'. But he called her enough and texted her enough that she didn't feel like he was pulling away on purpose, which made her feel a lot better.
Finally, a whole month and a half later (they wanted to make sure Darcie was absolutely doing the best she could be), Darcie was pronounced as in remission and was told by the doctor she could go home. All four guys came to get her, which Liv thought was a little too much, but she was shut down. They helped Liv pack up Darcie's things and Kevin picked her up when Darcie made a little bit of a stink about riding in a wheelchair and he carried her on his hip down the elevator and outside, Darcie curled up against his shoulder, Kevin's head laying on top of hers in a way that made Liv's heart clench.
Liv rolled her eyes lightly when they led her to a large SUV, but didn't protest as she got in the very back with Darcie, with Kevin and Dominik in the middle, and Sheamus and Drew in front, with Drew driving. Liv thought they'd be going back to her home, or if not, the one she was used to, so when they bypassed the turn off for it, she gave Dominik a curious look, but he quickly looked away, which made her even more suspicious.
After about half an hour, Drew pulled into a medium sized driveway that wound around a fairly large brick home. The front of the property had a large yard and several trees, and tropical looking bushes to provide shade.
"What is this?" Liv asked, blinking in confusion. She got out with the other men and Drew came around to face her.
"Ok so, don't be angry." He said. "But when it was confirmed that Darcie was going to get out, none of us liked the thought of her, or you, being away from us in any way. So since I'm a contractor, I took it upon myself to..."
"You built us a house?" Liv asked, gaping at him. "In a month?"
"I didn't do it on my own." Drew said, laughing. "I had help. But yeah. I mean, it's not too far away from your office, and even less from Darcie's school. I got a job at another construction comany close by as well and my old team helped me get this one done, permits and building materials and what not. Sheamus got a job in the hospital as another physical therapist for the hospital directly, Kevin's going to be doing some freelance groundskeeping but he put in for a job at the Hard Rock Stadium and Dom's going..." Before he could say anything else, Liv threw herself at him and kissed him. He quickly put his arms around her so she didn't fall and kissed her back. "So I take it you're not mad at me?"
"How could I be mad, Drew?" Liv asked, smiling at him with watery eyes. "You did this out of...of your love for us, and I just...thank you."
Drew smiled widely at her. "Come on, let's go look around." He led the way inside, and since no one had seen the house yet, they all marveled as they stepped through the front door. The living room and kitchen were together in an open floor concept, with the kitchen on the right side as you stepped through the door, and the living room on the left. The flooring was a dark wood flooring that looked simultaneously elegant and comfortable. Along the same wall as the front door, to the left, was a huge L shaped couch that was plush and comfortable looking with about a million throw pillows. In front was a gray area carpet with a small glass coffee table. Beyond that was a gray plush chair with another couple throw pillows and a side table with a piece of tropical artwork above that. The walls were a relaxing sand color.
Drew led them upstairs and when he led them into the master bedroom, Liv was pretty sure her legs almost fell out from under her, while Sheamus let out a low whistle and Dominik had to keep himself from letting out a few choice swear words. It was absolutely beautiful. There was wall to wall carpet in a nice gold/yellow tone that complimented the gray/tan walls and dark wood trim. The ceiling was gigantic it seemed and had a fan installed that would keep the room more than cool, besides the fact that there was central heating and air installed of course, AND a fireplace for a romantic atmosphere. The bed was a hilariously large four poster monstrosity and when Liv raised her eyebrow at Drew, he pretended not to see it. There were two end tables on each side and a huge free standing wardrobe flanked by two large dressers.
The bedroom had a master bathroom attached to it that felt like a spa with marble tile flooring and a crazy amount of storage around a counter top with a sink with copper handles. There was a glass walk in shower with dark tile that would easily fit five people and a deep jacuzzi style tub beside frosted glass that let in just enough natural light to not be so dark, but that was frosted enough to give everyone a lot of privacy, also big enough for five people, even if four of them were between 6'3 and 6'9.
Before anyone could say anything really, beyond exclamations of how great everything looked and how beautiful it was, Drew grabbed Darcie and swung her up on his hip. "Come on, princess, let's go look at your bedroom now."
"Yay!" Darcie exclaimed and the others scrambled behind him to follow him to the other bedroom.
Darcie's bedroom was absolutely beautiful for a child's bedroom. It looked like it was right out of a magazine. The walls were a pristine white color that opened everything up and made it look bright and cheerful. The flooring was a fake wood floor in a soft gray color that made the long bedroom look even longer. Along the left side was just shelves and a large closet. The shelves had a bottom that had a Strawberry Shortcake-like picture handpainted on it and the shelves had little pink, white, gold and light green knickknacks on them. The closet was an open concept with eight shelves that were low enough for Darcie to get into. It had a small step ladder attached to it that gave her access to two racks on each side of the closet filled to the brim with her clothes (old and new) and a small area next to that for her shoes.
On the far end of the room there was a small balcony with a railing high enough that Darcie wouldn't be able to climb on it. There was a tiny little plush chair just her size, pink of course, that was sat so that she could sit there and enjoy the weather. On the opposite side was a plush couch with a deer throw pillow and a frame with fairy lights hanging around it that gave it an almost ethereal look. Beside that was a pink semi-sheer looking tent Darcie could crawl into and hang out in when she wanted. The lighting in the room was a huge mock chandelier that looked like a huge star.
"Drew!" Liv exclaimed when she saw everything. "Man I would've killed for this bedroom as a kid."
"It's so pretty!" Darcie beamed as Drew let her down to look around. She immediately darted over and sat down in the chair, beaming at everyone.
"You're like a design savant or something." Kevin cracked, while Drew just looked pleased with himself.
"I mean, I do ok." He joked. "There's one more part of the house to see. Well, two really." He led them out of the room, Darcie stayed back to explore and Drew opened up the sliding glass door because they'd be able to hear her yell if she needed anything and he led them out to the backyard.
"Holy shite!" Sheamus exclaimed when they got out there. He glanced up at Darcie's bedroom, but she seemed to be in her own little world still. The backyard was an experience. The first part of it was the back end of their garage which had a light pink stone walkway that led to the pool area. It was sectioned off by a metal fence Darcie wouldn't be able to climb over or get through. The area around the pool was light gray outdoor tile and there was a hot tub with two seats in it with submersed light that made the water look like a dark blue. A simple step over led to the pool which was completely crazy. It was like something out of a movie. There was a small water fall that led to a romantic little clove big enough for about five people with just enough lighting to be able to see and then led around to a second one that was a lot bigger, but had the same feel and had an inside shower/water fall type area as well. Wrapped around the smaller water fall was a slide that could be accessed from the opposite side. But the kicker was a perch area you could climb up that gave you access to a suspension bridge that led to a seating area that looked over the property with a small patio below that and a ladder that dropped down from that.
Beside the pool area was the rest of the yard which was huge with a few small bushes beside a large, beautiful, clean natural lake that was private all for them.
"Oh I forgot..let me go grab Darcie." Drew said, going inside. He came back a few minutes later, carrying her on his back. "Come on, you have to see this part, Darcie." He said excitedly. He jerked his head to the others and carried them across the yard to a tree house they hadn't noticed before. It was mostly round with a wavy balcony and a green roof that made it look like it was right out of the Shire. He walked them up the stairs and ducked down to get inside.
The inside was a beautiful wood room that looked almost like an old cabin. It had bunk beds with colorful bedding, a desk with a small toy cabin to play with a green chair to sit down in and a green rocking chair beside the largest window.
Liv walked over and slugged him on the arm.
"Oww! What was that for?" Drew asked, looking at her incredulously.
"Spoiling us." Liv said, although she didn't seem that upset by it.
Drew smiled at her. "I guess I was feeling a little stuck creatively lately and once I got the idea to do this, I just...let it flow."
"Let it flow." Kevin cracked, sitting down so he didn't have to keep stooping. "You act all modest like this isn't like the best place to live that we've ever seen. I'm pretty sure if none of us had to work, we'd hardly ever even have to leave the property."
Drew laughed at that, although he did flush. "I mean...I just wanted to provide, you know."
"Yeah, that's a thing with your kind, I know." Liv wrapped her arms around his waist, smiling up at him.
"You love it." Drew joked.
"I do." She confirmed.
They settled into their new surroundings very easily. The guys got rid of their small temporary house they'd been living in and Liv sold her old place pretty easily. Darcie thrived being back at home and everyone loved to see it. To see her around the house, you wouldn't think that she'd just spent months battling cancer and living out of a hospital room. Liv signed her up to go back to school in the fall, but was a little sad that she'd be held back since she'd been out for so long. She understood, but a part of her thought Darcie was smart enough to go back into the grade she should be in.
Kevin chuckled quietly when Liv talked to him about it as they were making dinner. "It's really not a terrible thing." He pointed out. "I mean...I know she's a smart little girl, but you want to ease her back into things, I'd think. You don't want her to be overwhelmed by anything. She may feel out of sorts if she's in school and hasn't learned things that her friends had."
"I just don't want her to feel ostracized or like she's yet again being taken away from things." Liv said, ducking her head.
"She can still have her friends." Kevin pointed out. "This way she can make even more, I have no doubt that she will. It's not a bad thing, Liv."
"I'll always worry." Liv said honestly. "I guess I'm just...still trying to wrap my head around the fact that she's in remission now and allowed to be a normal little girl again."
Kevin chuckled. "I know. But you can let yourself relax."
"Can I?" Liv asked.
Kevin walked over and wrapped his arms around her, laying his head on top of hers. "Everything is going to be just fine." He said quietly. "We'll see to it."
"If you say so." Liv closed her eyes and leaned into him.
"I wanted to ask you a question actually." Kevin said.
"What?" Liv asked, making a face.
"When do you think we should tell Darcie about the four of us being weres?" Kevin asked.
Liv sighed quietly. She'd been thinking about the same thing. "I don't think there's a right time or a wrong time. She's a smart, perceptive little girl. I think eventually she'll notice something's weird. Especially because I know all of you can't just hold things back. I know how moody weres get when they haven't shifted in a while."
Kevin chuckled softly. "Yeah, I know. We don't want to be at each other's throats because of it."
"We can do it tomorrow." Liv suggested. "It's a little too late to get into it tonight, but I think since we'll all be around tomorrow..."
"I'll talk to the others about it." Kevin promised, kissing the top of her head. He squeezed her hips lightly and moved away from her. They made honey roasted chicken with root vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes, and a fresh corn salad. It was a mix of cultures, but a good dinner for them. Of course, there was a hilarious amount of food, but no one was worried about that. They sat around the outside area since there wasn't really a kitchen table for them and Liv had to admit, it felt really good. She was calm and happy in a way she hadn't been for a really long time and she almost wanted to pinch herself to make sure it was all real.
The next day, they had a pretty normal morning and after lunch Darcie took a nap. She was still getting her strength and normalcy back after her ordeal and got tired sometimes, so once she was down, Kevin and Liv got with the other three about telling Darcie about their were forms. They all agreed that it needed to be sooner rather than later, and that they needed to figure out a way to do it so that Darcie wasn't scared or traumatized about things. They decided to tell her about it as best as they could, answer questions, and then if Darcie was comfortable with it, show her their were forms.
Once Darcie was awake, she ate some lunch (chicken fingers and a mix of ranch and honey mustard dip with a Naked Mighty Berry smoothie) and Liv sat her down with the others. "Mama has something to talk with you about, baby."
"What is it mama?" Darcie asked, looking up at her curiously. She had her Umbreon tucked into her arm, the red robe wrapped around it lightly.
"Well, you know how there are people of all types, right?" Liv asked.
"Uh huh." Darcie nodded. "Like all skin colors, and rel'gions, and people that love like...girls that like girls...boys that like boys..."
"Right." Liv said, smiling at her. She played with the end of one of Darcie's pigtails. "You're so smart."
Darcie smiled at her. "Is this about how Kevin an' Drew an' Sheamus an' Dom are your boyf'wiens?"
Liv's eyebrows shot up on her head and she heard Sheamus and Kevin start snickering while Dominik choked on air basically. "Why do you think...no that's not about...this is different." She stumbled over her words. "It is about them though."
"Oh." Darcie said. "Well what is it?" She cast a glance at the men who squirmed under her considering gaze.
Liv stared at her, trying to figure out what to tell her, when Drew put a hand on her arm. He shared a significant look with her and Liv nodded. Drew picked Darcie up and put her on his lap, hugging her to him. "Well, mo laochain, there are some people in the world who have special abilities."
"Like superheroes?" Darcie looked up at him.
"Sort of." Drew smiled at her. "There are some people in the world, not everyone, who can turn into animals. They're called shifters."
"An' you, an' Sheamus, an' Dom', an' Kevin are that." Darcie said.
"Yes." Drew nodded.
"What do you turn into?" Darcie asked. "Wait." She wiggled off Drew's lap and disappeared upstairs. She was gone for a few minutes before she came down clutching her National Geographic Kids 5,000 Awesome Facts (About Animals) book. Drew laughed when he saw what it was and he pulled her back up on his lap.
"Well, I am a reindeer." Drew told her.
"Like Santa's?" Darcie asked, her eyes widening. "Do you know Santa? Have you pulled Santa's sleigh?"
Drew, ever the good sport when it came to Darcie, winked playfully at her and she giggled loudly, like she'd just been told the world's greatest secret. Before she could ask anything else, though, Drew went on. "Sheamus over there is a badger."
Darcie opened her book and flipped through it until she got to the page about badgers, silently looking up at Liv with an imploring look.
"Badgers are mammals, similar to weasels, but with wedge-shaped bodies with long hair. They have large claws and long noses that help them find and dig food from the ground. Badgers eat mostly insects, but also frogs, lizards, birds and plants." Liv read to her.
"Not all of that is true about me of course." Sheamus said, chuckling. "I don't think I've ever eaten a lizard or insect."
"You did swallow that moth that one time." Dominik pointed out.
"I don't want to think about that." Sheamus made a face.
"Anyway, Dom is a coyote." Drew said, patiently waiting until Darcie found the page on them.
"Coyotes are found throughout central and north America." Liv read. "They range from Mexico to Canada and can jump distances of 13 feet."
"I think I can do better than that." Dominik scoffed.
"I'll pay you to try." Kevin said simply.
"Kevin is a manatee." Drew said. This time Liv had the page ready before Darcie even prompted her.
"Manatees can weigh up to 3,500 pounds. They can hold their breath under water for a very long time and they are gentle, non-aggressive animals." She read, smiling at her daughter.
"Oh wow." Darcie said, taking all the information in, playing with her braid and holding onto the front of Drew's shirt. After a few minutes, she looked up at Drew imploringly. "Can I see?"
"I had a feeling you'd ask that." Drew chuckled.
"Come on, let's go change you into your swimsuit...mama, too." Liv said. "We'll give the boys time to shift into their animals."
"What about their clothes?" Darcie asked as Liv carried her up the stairs. The guys didn't hear exactly what Liv said to her, but by the way Darcie burst into loud giggles, they had a feeling Liv told her they had to get naked or they'd rip through their clothes. The men shared a look with each other and then trudged outside to the backyard to change. Dominik and Sheamus hopped up into the pool chairs next to the pool while Drew went to graze lightly on the grass and Kevin slipped into the pool before he shifted into his manatee form.
Liv came out with Darcie about 20 minutes later, both in their swimwear. Darcie was in a cute little one piece that was yellow with pink and blue daisies all over it and Liv was in a white two piece that had red hearts all over it and came with a matching bucket hat.
Dominik's tongue flopped out of his mouth when he saw her and Liv shot him a playful look when he started panting. Since Drew was the largest and probably the most intimidating out of the four of them, he approached her first, slowly and carefully, ducking his massive head down toward her when Liv walked with her over to them.
"Wow..." Darcie looked up at him wide eyed, reaching up to stroke a hand over his neck. "This is so cool!"
Liv laughed at that. "Yeah, I thought the same thing when I first found out."
Darcie giggled. "He could whack someone with his horns."
"Antlers." Liv corrected. "And yeah...he actually has before, they come really in handy."
Darcie giggled again at that and darted over toward Sheamus and Dominik. She treated Dominik like her own personal puppy, which he took in stride, letting her stroke him and pull him half onto her lap (which was hilarious since she was so tiny and he wasn't exactly that small) before she went over to Sheamus and checked out his badger form. She'd never really seen a badger before, and she flooded Liv with tons of questions about them, mostly which she made up the answers to based on what she knew about Sheamus specifically.
Once she got her fill of them, she squinted her eyes up at Liv. "Where's Kevin, mama?"
"Come here." Liv took her hand and walked over to the pool with her. They both watched for a minute or two before Kevin's massive manatee head popped up out of the water and Darcie squealed and let out a peal of giggles.
"He's so big!" She said, looking up at Liv wide eyed. "He's like a bus!"
Liv laughed loudly at that and Dominik and Drew let out sounds that sounded like laughter as well. "Yeah, almost baby. Do you want to get in and swim with him?"
"I don't got my floaties." Darcie made a face.
"That's ok. Kevin will keep you safe." Liv promised. "Just don't let go." She lowered her gently into the water onto Kevin's large body and then Liv sat down, her legs in the water, as she watched Darcie ride Kevin around like a large sea horse or something. Sheamus ambled over to her and stretched over her legs while they watched and Drew, who took advantage of the distraction, changed back into his normal form and walked over, mostly dressed, in his pants, and sat beside them while Dominik took advantage of the warm weather and settled in to doze.
Kevin and Darcie swam around for the better part of an hour, Kevin playfully taking her through one of the water falls, which made Darcie shriek with laughter and Drew found a small pool ball and played catch with them. At one point, Darcie leaned down and whispered something to Kevin who let out a loud huffing noise, almost like a chuff and before Liv, Drew and Sheamus knew it, they got blasted by a stream of water.
"Darcie Belle!" Liv shrieked, laughing in shock.
Darcie laughed so hard she almost slipped from Kevin's back. "I didn't do it!" She giggled.
"Uh huh. I am going to get you, kid." Liv said, slipping into the water.
"Go, Kevin!" Darcie exclaimed and Kevin turned slowly (he was a manatee, they weren't known for speed) and swam off.
Liv finally decided to let Darcie go off on a sleepover (except it was a weekend long stayover at her friend Elena's with her other friends Coco and Mari) and she dropped her off late Friday afternoon and wouldn't be picking her up until Sunday afternoon. It was a hard decision to make, but she finally made it. She knew, as hard as it was, that she and Darcie needed some time away from each other. Elena's parents had her number, so she just had to relax and give Darcie her space. She'd been given a clean bill of health, so Liv just had to accept the fact that she was ready to get back to normal.
Once she got home from dropping Darcie off, Liv looked around for the guys. She didn't immediately see them, but figured that they were probably down in the gym. That was one part that Drew hadn't showed off the first day they got there. He'd converted a whole basement area into a gym that most public gyms wished they could be. He claimed all of the equipment was second hand, but besides a few small chips and dings, all of it was in perfect working order.
Shrugging it off, Liv decided to go up and have a shower. She stripped off her clothes and turned on the shower, yelping when the water came out ice cold. She adjusted it to her preferred temperature and turned the settings to rainforest mode. She stepped in and closed her eyes, letting the jet of water soak her body, relaxing her in a way she hadn't been in a very long time. She lifted her head, eyes closed and let her mind wander as she just stood there, her mind going blank as she forced herself to relax. She had just zoned out almost completely, when she felt a hand grab her hip and squeeze, startling her.
"Didn't know you were back." Dominik rumbled quietly in her ear.
"I just got back." Liv said. "I didn't know where any of you were."
"Gym. We decided to get in a bit of a workout without the little one around." He said and it was then that Liv realized she was being surrounded by four very large, very muscular bodies.
"Sorry I missed it." Liv teased.
"You haven't." Kevin rumbled and Liv squeezed her legs together subtly.
"Oh no?" Liv asked.
"Nope." He said and Liv heard the sound of a cap being opened as she was directed around. She looked up and saw Kevin in front of her and he smiled at her softly as someone grabbed her hair gently and she felt shampoo being poured over her hair. She sniffed lightly and noticed that it was her lemon sage shampoo. She closed her eyes again and moaned as someone's fingers started lathering the shampoo in her hair, almost massaging her hair as the suds were worked in. She heard another cap being opened and smelled the lime and coconut of her body scrub. She opened her mouth to tell them how to use it, but then hands were on her body. Two sets rubbed the scrub over her and she let out a small whimper of pleasure at the gentleness of the touch and the light scratchiness of the scrub. It felt amazing and she felt her body relaxing under the touch.
The four men were nothing if not thorough in washing her, every part of her. Her hair was shampooed and conditioned and her body was washed clean and she was wrapped in a towel and lightly pushed outside the shower and told to 'stay there' while the four men showered. It was quick and efficient, just getting clean, before they got out and wrapped towels around their waists. It was a very sexy sight and Liv drank her fill as they went to the bedroom.
She expected that they'd get dressed and go about their day, but one look in their eyes and she knew that wasn't going to be the case. Kevin moved in front of her and kissed her hotly, unwrapping the towel from her body, letting it fall to the floor. She moaned into the kiss, putting her hands on his arms. He pulled back and picked her up, playfully tossing her onto the bed. She moved closer to the middle as the men stripped off their towels and got in with her.
Sheamus moved close to her and leaned in, kissing her then. His beard was scratchy, but she didn't care. She was just about to reach out and grab his waist when she felt someone move between her legs and she groaned when she felt a tongue lick over her folds. Her body bucked up and she glanced down to see Dominik between her legs. He had his face buried in her pussy and she whimpered as he began eating her out like she was the last meal he'd ever have. She dug her fingers into Sheamus' arm and gasped quietly. On her other side, she saw Drew and Kevin on the bed, both on their knees. They had hands wrapped around their dicks and just the sight of them made her pussy walls clench around Dominik's tongue. From the way he moaned filthily, he enjoyed that.
She had her first orgasm of the night, the feeling rolling over her so abruptly and harshly that she felt her vision start to white out. She was abruptly pulled out of it though, by Kevin moving her onto her stomach. She glanced back at him just in time for him to smirk at her and then his mouth was on her ass. She squeaked out and lunged forward, but his hands curled around her thighs, holding her in place. It had been a long time since she'd had anything like this happen and she dug her nails into the bed as the pleasure wrapped around her. She was about to close her eyes when Drew and Sheamus moved onto each side of her. They lifted her up to rest half on each of them and Liv squealed when each of them latched their mouth onto one of her nipples, sucking gently and firmly at the same time. She felt very overwhelmed by it all and didn't know how to react.
"Fuck, lass, y'got a pretty pair of..." Sheamus said something in Gaelic she didn't quite understand.
Drew chuckled softly. "We just call 'em titties where I'm from." He said brazenly. "But I have to agree."
"You should have some of this ass." Kevin spoke up. "It's fuckin' Heaven." She wasn't used to being talked about like she wasn't there, but a part of her loved it. She was about to sass at them, but then Kevin's thick finger slid into her ass and she threw her head back in a low, thick moan. He worked her over until she felt her ass relax and he eased a second finger inside as well. His fingers were deliciously long and thick and the feeling was a mix of pleasure and pain that had Liv on the precipice of yet another orgasm. He worked her over slowly, while Drew and Sheamus tortured her breasts deliciously and by the time Kevin had worked almost four fingers inside of her, Liv had her fingers dug into their hair so tightly she was afraid she was going to take a chunk out.
"I want all four of you in me." She blurted out.
"Fuck."
"Shit."
"Damn."
"Motherfucker."
Liv would've giggled at the exclamations that were layered over each other, but she was too turned on to really pay attention.
"Are you sure, Livvie?" Sheamus asked, his voice far huskier than she was used to.
Liv nodded, chest heaving with her harsh breaths. "Please."
The four men pulled away and Liv knew they were having a brief conversation. She wasn't really paying attention to it, though, too lost in her own thoughts, her hand moving down to trace over hre clit lightly. She glanced over when the men moved and she watched as Drew laid down on his back, putting two pillows under his ass to prop himself up somewhat. Sheamus waited for him to get situated and then he climbed on top of him, sliding down until their dicks were close together. Sheamus grabbed both of them in hand, both letting out loud moans, but before Liv could enjoy the view too much, Kevin picked her up. It took a little maneuvering but then Sheamus was holding he and Drew still until Kevin started lowering her down on the both of them. It was a very tight fit, and Liv thought she was crazy for wanting this, but juices dripped out of her pussy as she got even more turned on, which in turn made the slide easier and finally she sat on Sheamus' pelvis. She leaned into him and kissed him filthily as he and Drew fought not to move yet.
Dominik moved her to lie down on top of Sheamus and she felt him move closer to her. As he slid inside of her, she, Dominik, Sheamus and Drew let out loud moans and Liv dug her nails into Sheamus' chest, throwing her head back against Dominik's shoulder. It took a few minutes for all of them to relax and for Liv's body to loosen up around them, but finally it did and Kevin moved behind Dominik. He angled his hips enough and used Dominik's back for leverage, but soon enough she felt his dick sliding in alongside Dominik's. She was full beyond anything she ever thought was possible, and it burned in a way she'd never had before, but as she took deep breaths, she felt her body relax, slowly.
"Are you ok, Liv?" Kevin asked, although he sounded tense and like he was close to losing his mind.
"Oh God, yes." Liv whimpered. "Shit...oh God..."
"I don't think any of us are going to last long." Drew managed to say.
"Fuck no, I'm close as it is." Dominik groaned. "Shit this is...I've never...oh my fucking..."
"Someone move!" Liv shrieked, cutting him off. She was so close to her next orgasm that she felt like her whole body was a trigger just ready to be plucked.
Kevin, ever the one to take charge, does, and all of them let out various noises. Liv shut all of it out, just feeling as the guys took turns moving in and out of her. When one of them thrusted in, the other three pulled slightly out. It was like they knew how to play her body just right and Liv loved every second of it. Dominik palmed her breasts and squeezed her nipples as they worked her over and Liv tried to warn them that she was about to have her orgasm, but all she could manage was a loud scream as her body jerked spasmodically, Dominik the only thing keeping her in place. It wasn't long at all before she felt Drew coming inside of her, which triggered Sheamus' own orgasm. She squeezed tightly around them and Dominik was next, screaming loudly in her ear, while Kevin lasted the longest, even though it was just a few seconds after.
Liv felt deliciously full after, feeling their juices leak out of her slowly. They all collapsed slightly, trying to take breaths, and calm down and get themselves together. Sheamus' body was beet red and Drew's body hair was matted with sweat. Liv's own body was slick with her own sweat and she was glad that Dominik eased her off of them, wincing as Drew and Sheamus slipped out of her. She flopped down on the bed and Kevin and Dominik laid on one side of her, while Sheamus and Drew took the other. None of them talked for a very long time, taking in what happened and everything they felt about it. It left no doubt about their relationship and what was going to happen going forward.
Liv finally found her voice, and cracked a small grin. "I think we're gonna need another shower." She said, giggling softly, while the men chuckled. "I also think we're going to need to change the sheets."
"Fuckin' shit." Sheamus blurted out, his accent thicker than normal. "I can't move. I can't feel my legs."
"Me either." Dominik laughed. "I don't think I'm going to get hard for a while either."
"Good." Liv said. "That thing we just did? Special occasions only. It sounded like a damn good idea at the time, but I don't think I can do it all the time."
"Are you ok, baby?" Kevin asked, reaching over to touch her.
"I'm just going to be real sore for a while." Liv said honestly. "I'll be fine eventually. I'm glad Darcie's gone for the weekend now, though. After that, I definitely am going to want a lot more. Think of the fun we can have! All of the combinations, all of the holes I got..." The guys laughed to themselves as Liv chatted on, all five of them relaxed and happy about their new normal and what was to come.
