Something Wicked...

Summary:

Izzy Salvatore returns to town hoping to catch up with her siblings, but perhaps this mysterious stranger would be better company.

I might write more of these one shot's in the future. ^.^'

Work Text:

Mystic Falls had certainly changed over the years, long gone were the dirt roads and old plantation houses she grew up with, all replaced with tarmac and white picket fences.
Everything had moved and had a much needed face lift, though Izzy had returned to her home town to meet with what remained of her dwindling family over the decades, it had been some time since her last visit.
And now that both of her brothers had settled there, somewhat tumultuously, she figured she might as well join them...even if it was only for a short time. From the depressing letters she’d been getting from Stefan it sounded like her brothers needed a little light in their life.

And what better than their fun loving sister?

And that’s how Izzy came to be sat alone drinking at the Mystic Grill. She’d arrived in town and had headed straight for the boarding house only to find that empty, so she stalked through the town trying to think of all the places her brothers could be hiding but came up empty. Honestly the Mystic Grill had given her high hopes being the only bar in town, yet even that had let her down. It was at that point she gave up looking and sat herself down for a drink.
She figured Damon or Stefan would eventually stumble upon her here or she’d make enough of a ruckus that one of them would eventually take notice.
A few bodies here, a few blood stains there. Anything that screamed ‘Here there be vampires’ would surely grab their attention.

With her stroke of genius still fresh in her mind, she visually scoured the bar looking for the perfect little victim. And bingo!
Across the grill was a pair of lovey dovey teens making gooey eyes at each other over a shared basket of fries. It was far from romantic by Izzy’s standards, but she supposed they were only young. They had so much to learn in that department...it was almost a shame they never would.
Grinning to herself she pushed herself off of the bar stool, glass tumbler in hand, and speedily made her way over to the pair. As she sat down next to the male teen, she felt both of them stiffen and watch her with wide eyes.

“Um...can we help you?” the girl asked, looking at her cautiously, her pretty brown eyes were shielded by her glasses. The girl was definitely a knockout, the kid next to Izzy was punching way above his weight class.

“Why of course…” Izzy smiled, wasting no time in compelling the two into submission but in doing so she failed to notice the pair of eyes watching her from the bar intently. The stranger listened in to her every word, watched as she slyly bit into her wrist and filled her empty glass, sliding it across the table to the young girl in front of her. He wasn’t sure who this vampire was but he couldn’t help the smirk from crawling on to his face as she had the young lass down the glass.

“Now Tracey,-” “it’s Stacey” Izzy scoffed a little at the interruption but ultimately ignored it, it made no difference to her, “keep an eye out would you.”

Leaning into the boy next to her she brought his arm to meet her mouth and took a bite, inconspicuously feeding out the open, risky, but that’s just how she liked it.
“W-what are you doing?” Stacey asked in a shaky whisper, she didn’t seem to be able to make her voice any louder and couldn’t make herself move either.

“Feeding, now be a good girl and keep quiet.” Izzy didn’t bother to sugar coat it, and carried on with her meal.

“I don’t think I’ve met a vampire so brazen in such a long time, it’s quite refreshing” at the sound of a male British voice coming from across the table, Izzy stopped.
Detaching herself from the young man’s arm she carefully licked her lips clean and turned to greet her new dinner guest.

“That’s the trouble with vampires these days, they’re all so broody” Izzy wasn’t sure what she was expecting, but she sure wasn’t expecting to find such a hottie sitting in front of her. He had such a mischievous smile she couldn’t help but return it, his eyes were dark and deep, they twinkled with trouble.

“But not you?” he countered, watching her carefully as she tried to appear relaxed but he noticed her checking her escape routes.

“Brooding has never been my forte, trouble on the other hand...well I never leave home without it.” Izzy eyed the stranger in front of her, she debated with herself if she should make a run for it or if she should see how this played out. She was after all looking to cause a little bit of chaos was she not?
Izzy liked danger, and this stranger reeked of it.

“My kind of girl.” the stranger purred as he started to play with the hair of the human next to him. Smirking to himself he leaned forward, resting both of his arms on the table in front of him, making sure he met Izzy’s eyes.

“The names Kol, Kol Mikaelson”

The name rang a bell, she’d read it in one of Stefan’s many letters. Well the surname at the very least was familiar. She was certain the name belonged to the main antagonist in Stefan’s many tales, but that’s what made this fun. What better way to get your brother's attention than parading around with the enemy.

“A pleasure to meet you Mr Mikaelson, I’m Isabella Salvatore. But you can call me Izzy.” a flicker of surprise crossed Kol’s face for a moment, Izzy wasn’t even sure she’d actually seen it.

“Hm, I think Bella is much more fitting,” he said, looking at her more appraisingly.

Izzy had to hide her smile behind her hand, it was cheesy and yet it worked in charming her. Even if it was just a little bit.

“So Kol, what brings you to my table? Were you bored or just hungry?” Izzy queried, sitting back in her seat. As much as she wanted to give into her impulses and dive right into the chaos, she also knew she had to at least poke around his motives a little. A girls gotta look out for herself after all.
And that’s all she’s done for the past 160 years, unleashing mischief and mayhem all the while keeping her own ass out the fire.

“Can’t it be both? Or even maybe you just caught my attention” He was being vague on purpose, he mirrored her position and even the little smirk on her face. It was a little unsettling, no fair, she thought, that’s my move.
“Now the more interesting question would be, what’s a Vampire doing giving her blood to her dinner?” She felt the tables metaphorically turn, she was now in the hot seat. But perhaps she always was and she just didn’t realise it.

Curling a finger towards him, she invited Kol to lean in closer as if what she had to say was a big secret.
“They don’t know it yet, but they’re about to be a part of my diabolical plan. Now you can either join in, or butt out. Your choice.” Izzy cupped her hand to the side of her face as she spoke barely above a whisper, mocking the humans beside her. Their fear and worry rolled off of them in waves, but thanks to Izzy’s compulsion they could do no more than sit there helplessly.

“Oh darling, I’m definitely in”
